When does it become ok to take off work for exhaustion. My toddler woke me up at half 11, and didnt settle until 2ish. Ive tossed and turned since and with being pregnant i am just so tired. I cant face a day in a busy job😭😭

I had a difficult second pregnancy due to exhaustion the whole way through - I did my best at work but when I was crying at my desk because I was so tired and couldn't concentrate I thought enough is enough, logged off and went to bed. I know it's so hard not to feel guilty but you must put yourself and your baby first and hopefully you have an understanding boss. Don't offer to make up your hours as this will stress you out even more and won't help with the tiredness - if you're off sick, you're off sick. Check your sickness policy as well - in my company any pregnancy related sickness didn't count towards my sickness record so that gave me some reassurance. In the grand scheme of things a few extra days off here and there when pregnant really aren't going to make much difference to your company and definitely won't be remembered when you go back after maternity leave! Good luck and hope you feel better xx

When I was pregnant with my first I didn't take any days off as I didn't want to use being pregnant as an excuse for not going so just soldiered on no matter how bad I felt, I learnt with my second! I had loads of sick days. You need to look after yourself, if you don't feel up to going in then don't, remember your just a number at work, the place won't fall apart with out you, hope you feel better soon ❤️
