Private maternity, how long did you stay in hospital?

For those who have given birth in a private hospital/private wing in the UK, how long did you stay for, after your ELCS? My standard package offers three nights, I am wondering whether an extra couple may be beneficial for recovery or if I would be bored.

I gave birth abroad in a private hospital- the care was excellent and I had a private room where my husband could stay. I had a planned c-section and stayed in 3 nights.
It was definitely enough time for me but baby was in the NICU for a week and I really didn’t want to be discharged and leave him in hospital (luckily the NICU had family rooms so I only went home for one night and then as soon as he was well enough not to need the incubator and 1:1 nursing they moved us both into a family room so I could be with him).
I think if everything goes well then you’ll probably be ready to go home after 3 nights. Is there an option to extend based on how you feel after the birth (and whether you feel you need extra support with feeding etc).

3 nights with DC1. It was unnecessary and really boring so I insisted on only 2 nights with DC2 (assuming everything went well which it did) and even that dragged because it was covid so I couldn’t have the constant stream of visitors that I’d had with DC1. Even though it’s private it’s still a hospital room, I couldn’t imagine staying there for 4+ nights if it wasn’t medically essential!

@DuckDuckGoose23 @InTheRainOnATrain thanks. I probably could have left after 3 but i stayed in for 5. It was bliss and a huge help to my recovery.
