hi all,
my partner had a SA done at the beginning of the month. Everything was fine apart from his morphology which was at 3%. He is healthy, eats the right foods, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink and does exercise. Is there any success stories to naturally conceive or do we not have a chance without help? my tests are all fine.

@Jadelovely @Autumn231 @nabsal3 @Sjw30 @Izzie94x @LizzeyBenett @CavaCoast May I know your age when you or your friend were conceive , or Age Try to conceive currently ?
It is because I am 39 years old now.
The percentage of get conceive also will be lower. This is also my main concern.
The doctor said I have 12-15 Folical , but I not sure how was the quality of my folical. So can't judge is that because my age or husband sperm quality.
However , I feel positive while reading your comment.
Thanks for your sharing. 🤗

@Esthertms aahh right, you could always try a hsg, it’s just whether it’s worth it as we are lucky here in England and have the nhs so we don’t pay for these tests doing unless we go private. All your other test results sound good though! Do what you feel is best no way is right or wrong. I’m 26, I was 23 when we first started trying so although age was on my side, we still struggled. I really hope you get where you want to be soon, take every day as it comes and keep hope even when the journey feels tough 💕

They were 31 years old. My partner has similar results and we needed ivf but that was for unexplained reasons so not down to his results. Good luck with ttc I know how hard it is ❤️

Esthertms · 22/01/2024 14:16

@nabsal3 peace up your heart and enjoy the moment with your spouse, who knows , you get pregnant before the IVF 😉
God will have the best arrangement and blessing you ~
Let pray for the best for us ~
@Jadelovely @CavaCoast Thanks for your blessing and hope I get naturally conceive soon suddenly. Otherwise , success in IUI also not bad ~
hope no need go for IVF. God blessing me....

My husband has 3% morphology in a SA is september and now it's 4%.

(his other metrics have improved too from
motility 32% to 42%)

The only change he made was taking proxeed plus twice a day.

Expensive but worth it xx

Mismatc · 22/01/2024 15:17

I haven’t read the full thread but we conceived in three months with his morphology at 1.5. I read an inordinate amount of research and it’s questionable how much impact this has on fertility

nabsal3 · 22/01/2024 17:45

@Esthertms ! Thank you so much for your positive message. Yes I already had one ivf cycle failed but that my husband had 1% morphology but now it's improved 3% with in 3 months time by taking proxeed men two times a day. I personally do not have any issues. So hopping for best. But my pervious cycle was private as we payed for ivf cycle but this one is nhs funded. But to be honest not getting g enough to go for it. Really this journey is damn hard seriously

@Mismatc ! What you did differently so you conceived naturally please guide. Conceived with 1.5 morphology it's really miracle. Please guide. What was motility etc.

nabsal3 · 22/01/2024 17:49

@Jadelovely !
I have contacted lots of clinics today for private HSG test but they said if you are nhs funded cycle and looking for additional tests privately it could effect my nhs funding. So I really don't know what shall I do

Hello! I think ours is an unusual story. He had the analysis done before we were ready to try because he was under urology for one underdeveloped testicle. I read an incredible amount of research during the intervening period and poor morphology alone is not the be all and end all, but those with fertility issues often have it. It’s rare that we test people not struggling to conceive so many of them may also have poor morphology.

We were very ready for it to be a challenge when we started trying and had started saving toward treatment. We decided we’d give it 6 months and then go for private treatment (I am 34 and he is 31). I got pregnant in 3 months and am now 35 weeks 😊

Mismatc · 25/01/2024 14:10

We both 100% gave up alcohol/ caffeine/ substances of any kind for three months before we started trying, whilst trying to conceive and for the pregnancy. We both took conception vitamins.
