Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I'm unsure where to post.

I had my daughter via c section in December 2022, 2 days later I had a massive bleed with numerous huge clots and was rushed to theatre for a d&c.
This weekend (Jan) I had an ultrasound and they told me there was still products left behind. They gave me some tablets to help push it out of my womb but they have failed. I'm so scared now as the only options left are another d&c which they are reluctant to do as I'm only 5 weeks pp or a hysterectomy. I'm only 30 and I don't want to go down that road. Has anyone else been though this? My mental health is in the gutter and I'm not enjoying my baby at all due to all of this. I also have a 4 year old and working everything around him and my newborn is impossible, my partner cannot take any more time off of work either. Please any advice or support I'm so upset and scared 💕

so sorry this is all happening, I didn’t want to read and run 💕

Have you got any family nearby or someone who can come stay for a bit, just to help and offer you some support?

PP is a really emotional time let a lone with all the rest you have going on, be kind to yourself, be open with how you’re feeling. It sounds really tough!

Could the the midwife offer any support? Even if it’s just listening to your worries

I hope someone else comes along who’s been through similar and might be able to give you some advice or reassurance xx

Hi this happened to me . I had a planned c section and 8 weeks later found out I had retained placenta. I was really sick but it was during the first lockdown so I couldn't get seen by a GP, midwife etc.

I had to have an MVA. I was offered an MVA or D&C, MVA is where you stay awake for the procedure I opted for this as I was bf. The procedure was fine not pleasant but I was home the same day with a little bit of pain . I was able to pretty much carry on as normal the following day x

I don't want to scare you more just so you are aware. 2.5 years later I still haven't had a period and have been diagnosed with Ashermans. As I say not to scare you I just want you be aware as if I'd of had it picked up earlier my scaring wouldn't be this bad.

Sending you lots of love, honestly the procedure is okay . X

I only have my partner and my mum, my mum isn't that local, has to work and can't drive and my partner (who also can't drive) also has to work. I've been discharged from everyone now and my GP isn't very useful. I feel so scared and alone.
Thank you for commenting 💕

I've already had a d&c and tried misoprostol and neither of those have worked. I'm so scared it's going to end up as a hysterectomy as I feel that if after a c section, a d&c, a 5 week wait and the medication it's still there it's only going to be removed when everything is taken out.
The hospital haven't been very helpful so far and I feel like I'm just left in all this x
