Flu Shot Timing for a Baby Due in July? - Advice Request

I recently had the flu, strain A, before I was able to get a flu shot.

Now I'm wondering what my best course of action should be to protect myself and my unborn baby.

Should I get a flu shot now and then another one in may just before the baby is born?

Or should I skip the flu shot now and just get it in may?

My priority is protecting myself and the baby now, and also getting the baby some protection for the next flu season.

The baby will be born around July 1, and will be 6 months old by February
1, so she won't be able to get a flu shot until after the next flu season has passed.

I'd also like to know if there's any additional benefit to me getting the Flu shot
twice just before she is born as she won't be old enough to get the
vaccine during the next flu season

Get the shot now

Peak flu season is over the winter, and cases usually decline sharply by about April. It takes up to 2 weeks for the jab to take full effect so the sooner the better.

I think the NHS vaccination programme ends on 31 March, so after that you won't be able to get one (unless you can source it privately)
