7 week scan and heart shaped uterus

I went for my first scan today I am 7 weeks pregnant.
I was told at the scan the baby is ok with a strong heart beat but she also told me I had a ‘heart shaped uterus’. I asked if this is anything to be concerned about and she said no.
I have just looked on google and read loads of horror stories.
this is my first time pregnant and I am just wanting to know if anyone has the same? Or a similar experience
thanks x

I discovered recently during investigation of fibroids that I have a heart shaped uterus according to the images. No idea why this was not picked up before, as I have had two very straightforward successful pregnancies, the second of which was twins! So in my experience nothing to worry about re baby at all.

Hi I have a bicornuate uterus too. I found out during scans when going for IVF but got pregnant naturally while waiting. I'm currently 9 weeks 6 days. I have been told that I will more than likely need a c-section and there is a higher chance of premature birth so I will be consultant led.

I had a heavy bleed on Friday and passed a very large clot but the scan showed a healthy baby. Often the two sides don't communicate and one side still has a period until some time in the second trimester.

I have this too, all three babies made it to full term, only thing was there wasn't much room for them to turn around, first baby was head down but the other two, couldn't turn so were elective c section.

Hi, congratulations on your pregnancy Smile I know it's hard and I'm guilty of it myself but definitely don't read stories on the internet. I worried myself sick for 9 months for no reason because everything went swimmingly. Just relax and take each day as it comes

My sister has a bicornuate uterus. She had two planned c-sections because of it, and they got a bit squished in there, but were fine.

I have this. Two healthy DSs though my second was prem, however I had other issues that contributed to that. My first was over 37 weeks.

I have a bicornuate uterus too, I was told casually at my 12 week scan and I then stupidly went and googled. Cue utter horror on my part. For what it's worth I have two healthy children and despite being advised by google that I was at an increased risk of premature labour I actually needed inductions with both (went to 42+2 with my son, he really didn't want to come out!)
I think so much of the risks depend entirely on your individual circumstances and how baby grows, so as hard as it is to not be curious I'd honestly advise ignoring google and be led by what healthcare professionals tell you. ❤️
