Freaking out about cleaning mould

So the buggy for DD went a bit green and mouldy in the boot of our car while the weather was bad.

I decided today (at nearly 20 weeks pregnant) that it would be a good time to tackle it.

I've lifted up the boot and there's LOADS of green mould. It's all across the boot and in the buggy, so did a bit of scrubbing and have now started panicking I shouldn't be doing this while pregnant.

I obviously washed hands well after and didn't touch my face while cleaning but can anyone send some reassuring words!

I worked on a house Reno while pregnant. Whole thing was covered in black and green mould - looked like something out of stranger things.

I also came to the realisation like you probably not a good idea. Babes fine.

If the car is mouldy though I think it might be dead. Had one myself and it just went to the tip.

Same with the pram. I would bin it personally.

Should be OK, ask DP or a friend to finish the job for you.

You will be fine, don't worry. I think if there was a risk (& that would be a very small one) it would likely be in the first trimester. At 20 weeks I'm sure you will be fine. Maybe try to avoid doing it again or if you really have to then wear gloves.

Just to say as well - I agree with pp, I would bin the pram. Although you can clean it, the mould spores may still be there and so you can never really get rid of them if that makes sense. Unless you are able to hot wash all of the fabric or something.

Thanks everyone - I think you're right, the pram is a gonner! I didn't even know mould could get into so many tiny crevices!
