Formula in hospital

I’m probably being really thick here but my common sense brain is on holiday and I attempted to breastfeed my first so didn’t need to know.

I know you can buy pre made formula that can be taken to hospital, but how do you feed it to the baby? If I sterilise bottles in advance they wont be sterile anymore? Will they? I’m so confused. Probably also asked this terribly! I blame my baby brain 🙈

Hospitals aren’t allowed to promote formula brands, that doesn’t mean they can’t purchase them. It really is just funding related, if people can afford it then taking your own really is the best way. It’s no more stressful than providing milk for your babies at home. On our unit if a woman came without milk we would have to take it from NICU’s milk stores which we like to avoid if possible.

The hospital provided little bottles of formula when breast feeding wasn’t going well for me, they also had different choices of brands. This was December 2021

That was NOT THE QUESTION OP ASKED!!!!!!!!!
