Currently going through a chemical pregnancy and feeling really low.

Has anybody gotten pregnant the next month after having a chemical?

I am so sorry read of your heartache but, if it offers any hope, yes, I have. I had a late miscarriage, 2 months later a chemical pregnancy and the next month a pregnancy in which all went well. Best of luck, it's a horrible, awful thing to go through. x

GoT1904 · 15/01/2023 12:37

Me. ❤️ Currently 34+1. I caught on straight after. Xx

allgoodthings84 · 15/01/2023 12:40

I’m sorry you’re going through it it’s horrible but yes I have, twice! I had a chemical in October then got pregnant again in November but unfortunately that was another chemical but got pregnant again in December and am currently 8 weeks hoping for the best.

notthebloodyfootballagain · 15/01/2023 12:47

It's horrible but I also got pregnant the month after. 🤞

WhyMe02 · 15/01/2023 14:04

Thank you for your replies and really sorry to hear you've all been through the same. It's heartbreaking x
I will try my best to change my mindset onto the next month.
It just seems so far away and it's not guaranteed.

Yes I did. Got my 4 month old in my arms as we speak. Good luck.

@WhyMe02 sorry to hear you’re going through a chemical, I’ve had 2 so can completely sympathise with you.
I had my first end of October, then had a BFP in December and had another chemical a couple of days before Christmas. I’ve just caved and tested and have what I think is a very faint positive. I’ll test again on Tuesday but all the symptoms are there. No idea if this one will stick but I am keeping everything crossed.
You’re apparently more fertile after a chemical so, as hard as it is, get back to trying in a couple of weeks and see how you go.
Take care of yourself, sending lots of love x

WhyMe02 · 15/01/2023 19:12

You've all filled with me with a little bit of hope for next cycle. Thank you x

Yep me! She's 2 in April ☺
Not sure if you'd call it an early MC or a chemical, I was just over 5 weeks.
I had a longer cycle the following month but I was using the digi ovulation tester so we tried at what we hoped was the right time. And got a BFP that very next month.

I couldn't believe it as it had taken a year to get that first positive the month previous. But a friend said she had heard something about being fertile just after a loss?

That's lovely ☺️.
Quite a few people have mentioned the more fertile thing so that does make me feel more hopeful

I hope you don't all mind me asking about the bleeding you had with the chemical?
With a normal period I usually bleed heavy for 3/4 days then light for 2 so average 6 days.
I bled quite heavily yesterday and it's a lot lighter today. Feels like it could stop soon. Still a lot of cramping though. Just thought I'd have a lot more bleeding but maybe it's not needed if I have already passed everything

I was only very heavy for a day. Passed a few clots (sorry if tmi) then it then went more like a usual period

K37529 · 15/01/2023 20:25

I got a positive test 4 weeks after my chemical and went on to have a healthy baby, sorry for your loss ❤️Xx

NameChangeFor2023 · 15/01/2023 20:27

Me! My first successful pregnancy (who is currently asleep next door and turning into a lovely young person).

Also, my mum. I was a successful pregnancy straight from a chemical.

Good luck 🤞

NameChangeFor2023 · 15/01/2023 20:31

Regarding bleeding, if I remember correctly (over 2 years ago now) it started light, and I prayed it was implantation, but got progressively heavier. But just until it was a normal period, basically. I think.

Houseelf90 · 15/01/2023 20:43

With my first chemical, at 5.5 weeks I had a day or 2 really light bleeding, followed by a couple of heavy and painful days, and then a couple of days much lighter. With my second, at 4.5 weeks, it was more like a regular period, on the light side if anything!

allgoodthings84 · 15/01/2023 21:18

With both of mine is was the same length as my normal period but day 2 was super heavy

Mumto2boys19 · 16/01/2023 11:17

Yup me twice .. both the month after, they are now 4 and 20months

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 16/01/2023 11:28

I did with my first. Still don’t really understand how the dates worked out but I had a chemical at the start of January and had another positive test by the end of the month.

00Bubbles00 · 16/01/2023 13:25

I had the same - I had a chemical just before Christmas at 5+1. It was longer than my normal period (3-4 days of lighter bleeding after 4 days of "proper" bleeding whereas my period is usually 4 days and done). Day 2 was the most painful but otherwise it was like a longer normal period. I usually ovulate on CD14 and I expected that to be later this cycle. I think I ovulated CD 18/19 (so basically the same amount of time after I stopped bleeding as I would with a normal period). I got a positive FRER this morning. I also had a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks before my second baby, and got pregnant on the next cycle (that cycle was 6 weeks rather than my usual 4 - I ovulated 3.5 weeks after the bleeding stopped - the EPU were able to tell me when they thought I would ovulate next based on a scan I had to check it had been a full miscarriage and I confirmed it with a digital CB ovulation test). Hope the detail helps. I know from my own experience that it is reassuring to hear from people in similar experiences. FWIW, a lot of my girlfriends have had chemical pregnancies and miscarriages and have gone on to conceive soon after. Good luck.

Eatentoomanyroses · 16/01/2023 13:26

Yes with the help of some low dose aspirin

BabyB2022 · 16/01/2023 20:56

Yes, found out I was pregnant 4 weeks to the day later and my DD is now two (and I' now pregnant with my second and had no further MC/CP). I'm sorry you are going through it OP, it is awful but please don't lose hope.

NewBabyGirl2020 · 16/01/2023 22:12

So sorry you are experiencing this 💔 It’s it awful but you will be ok, I promise.

I‘ve had 2 and after both I fell pregnant on my next cycle and have one heathy toddler and currently pregnant with a healthy baby.

my bleeding after both was just like a normal period and my next ovulation was on time

Tinkeytonkoldfruit · 16/01/2023 22:17

Me I got pregnant the following month, that baby is now my beautiful 7 year old!

justanotherlaura · 16/01/2023 22:31

I didn't get pregnant on my first cycle after CP but did on my second. I was devastated that I didn't get a positive on my first cycle after reading about so many people getting pregnant again straight away, just wanted to let you know to not lose hope if the first cycle isn't the one!
