Hello! Firstly I apologise if I don't use or know the abbreviations people use, I'm new here and learning haha.
Im currebtky mum of one, he just turned 1 on the 7th. It's the best and I LOVE being mum.
Me and my partner have always wanted 2 or 3 littles, and after having our first we're super certain we want more.
So low and behold, after a few months of being somewhat... Careless? I was 2 days late. So I tested and there were the 2 lines! In total shock but super excited. It took us 8 months to fall pregnant with our first, so to just fall when we werent TTC was such a shock.
Im still BF, and looking to get him weaned over the next few months. Any practical advice on that would be amazing. I'm part of a BF support charity but all the other volunteers are very... "you must feed until baby decides to stop" and that's just not practical for me now.
Also, any stories of how to cope with 2 under 2 would be amazing haha.

More than anything this post is to just be able to announce to someone who isn't my partner that I GOT A POSITIVE TEST YAAAAAAAY and that I'm at that stage we're every toilet trip I'm checking for any blood and all cramps or belly aches make me paranoid and EVERYTHING that comes with these early weeks. My best friend is currently in her 2nd trimester and I really want to run to her and tell her but TRYING SO hard not to yet haha.
We really want to keep this a secret until we've had the scan so we can really surprise people, because last time we told quote a few people early.
So any advice on that would be great too hahaha!

Congratulations! If you want to stop feeding then I recommend first night weaning if you haven't already. You can do this very gradually there's lot of information online! Or I can post a more detailed post of how I did it if you like. After night weaning I would recommend then moving away from feeding on demand during the day and having feeds as part of the routine that you slowly take away and replace with a snack and a cup of milk instead. If they ask between these times you can remind them when they can have it and then distract with either a snack if hungry or an activity if wanting attention.

Congratulations 🙂 I was still breastfeeding my 18 month old when I found out I was pregnant, I stopped cold turkey because thought dragging it out would be harder, anytime he looked for it I distracted him with toys/snacks/games anything, took one week till he stopped asking. Best decision I ever made, he was an awful sleeper waking 5-6 times a night, after a few days of not breastfeeding he started sleeping through the night in his own bed 😁
