Hi all!

We're hoping to go on a baby moon (never been abroad together in the 7 years we've been together and hoping to before baby is born in June!) in March and looking for suggestions, hoping for a relaxing beach holiday - but affordable! Maximum 1700 for the both of us 😂

Which I didn't at the time of the advice from midwife, trying to save going into such long info when all the OP wanted was recommendations for a holiday. Enjoy your babymoon OP, it's a great excuse for a little holiday before baby's arrival 😁

Well yes

but then you posted incorrect advice about blood thinning injections post 28 weeks!

fainting and GD?

i wouldn’t say that’s a pregnancy without any health concerns 😐

Bloody hell, another thread derailed by odd bods wanting to pursue their own particular hobby horses. And what does it matter why they haven't been abroad together yet? You're all weirdos!
I'd recommend Madeira (as I often do). It's about a 4 hour flight, the weather will be mild. It's a beautiful, lush island, Funchal is a buzzy little city, all very relaxing.

midsomermurderess · 14/01/2023 11:43

And who the hell are you horrors to police other people choice of words? Yes, odd bods, that is what you lot are.

You sound like you need some winter sun.

As a matter of urgency!

I'm due in June and was hoping to get away in March too. We were looking at the canaries, possibly Lanzarote or Tenerife. Everywhere else seems a bit too cool at the time of year for the beach unless you go long distance which I wouldnt be keen on. Madeira looks beautiful too, lots to do and somewhere I'd love to visit but not really beach weather then. I think though we're going to end up renting a little cottage somewhere in the UK and spending the extra money we save on baby although I am itching to go abroad as we've not been for a few years.

We are going to Cape Verde, we payed £2100 all inclusive 5 star for me, my partner and 1 year old. White sandy beaches and warm weather. It can be breezy though. I am due in July so will be about 22 weeks when we travel. Happy holidays op.

Have you been before? I’ve just changed our holiday there in April to somewhere else cus I’ve seen some horrendous reviews and a massive compensation thing going through :( it put me off. Just wanted to pre-warn you! Hope it’s not Riu Touareg you’re going as that’s where I had booked too.

Thumberline · 14/01/2023 23:09

@BabyFour2023 we have been to Cape Verde before my husband kitesurfs and it’s the perfect spot.
We are staying at the Riu Palace it’s the best rated child friendly hotel in Cape Verde on trip advisor so I am crossing my fingers it will be good.

Mulner88 · 15/01/2023 08:53

We have booked 5 nights in Croatia in March. I'll be approx 21-22 weeks I think! Sooo looking forward to it. We got a good package deal also so not breaking the bank!

It’s good you’ve been before! I hope you have a great time.

firsttimelondonmummy · 15/01/2023 10:10

We’ve gone with Lanzarote (4.5 hour flight from London).

We did a fair bit of research and Lanzarote looked like one of the hottest, safest and most affordable options.

Total cost was £1227 for 10 days bed and breakfast in a 4*.
That includes flights, baggage, transfers etc.
we used onthebeach.com and are staying at the MYND Yaiza.

P.s ignore all the negativity.
Clearly they have nothing better to do than to mock others.
It can’t be a very happy life they lead.

Have a wonderful time away! ☺️

I'm confused, a honeymoon is taken after a wedding so surely a babymoon is taken after baby is born? Do you mean all 3 of you will be going OP?

Rachlou26 · 28/10/2023 20:00

Hi. Did you go Cape Verde? I was googling baby moons for March and came across this thread, I did think of Cape Verde but don’t know anyone who has been. Want somewhere warm but not too hot or too far away!

Rachlou26 · 28/10/2023 20:01

did you pick a baby moon? I was googling locations for March and found this! Not sure why people are questioning going away together we are married and expecting and have only been abroad once together and that was our honeymoon, just lots going on and not always the most feasible 😊
we are due June so thinking Feb/March might be a good time but limited on locations
