Any OBs/midwives here?? Or repeat C-section mommas?

Long story short, I had quite a difficult go my first pregnancy - 44 hours in intense labour where baby was in wrong position and I only got 1 cm dilated in the end.

Doctors wanted me to keep labouring but my midwife encouraged me to go for a section as she didn't think a. It would progress if 40+ hours of contractions wasn't doing the job and b. If it miraculously did, I wouldn't have the strength to push.

Eventually we had our beautiful daughter safe and sound and I am beyond grateful to this day. However, my body feels still, 18 months later, like it's undergone a massive trauma. Before my pregnancy I was very fit and active, now even after regularly walking 2 miles with the dog most days I feel sore and not myself. The thought of doing any moderate exercise still seems impossible. The occasions I have, I have felt sore for a week. My GP and health visitor brush me off constantly saying it's normal.

Beyond this, I have collagen issues and have always scarred very easily and visibly (keloids).

So to get to my point -- I am very concerned I have more scar tissue than normal and have read this can lead to problems with the placenta in any subsequent pregnancy I may have. Is there some sort of screening or referral I can request BEFORE trying to conceive just to see where things stand? Would that even be possible to see on say an ultrasound? What test/scan would be needed??

I would be very very grateful for any insights 💕

I don't have any experience but recommend looking for hannah Johnson therapies on Instagram or her website. Shes specialises in post natal recovery esp c sections and does c section scar massage to help with scar tissue etc
