Growth scan at 34 weeks - big baby?!

Hey all, looking for some advice/ opinions!

I had a growth scan today due to my bump measurement on Tuesday looking slightly behind where they were expecting. The growth scan showed that baby is actually measuring big, his head is off the chart…

Has anyone experienced having a 34 week scan where baby measured 6lb with head off the scale? (Past the 99th mark) Did you get induced or have C-section? Was the scan accurate in terms of birth weight?!

I have my midwife appointment next week where I can discuss further, but would like some ideas in the meanwhile!

I had growth scans with my daughter from 28 weeks. At 28 weeks she was bang on the 50th percentile, but at a 30 week reassurance scan (due to previous third trimester loss), she had jumped to the 95th! I was so anxious as it seemed such a huge jump over 2 weeks. It turned out I had gestational diabetes. This was picked up and managed, and then she stayed on the 95th for head and tummy until she was born. She was born via c-section, however this was planned from the start of my pregnancy (again, due to my previous loss), however I think they would have suggested it with her size anyway. She was born at 8lb 6oz but was predicted to be over 9lb!
Growth scans are not always the most accurate. A doctor said to me, it's like trying to measure a ball inside a balloon, it's so difficult to get an accurate reading. Once she was born she leveled out completely and she's now actually on the 50th percentile again!

I got scanned at 26wks and daw was 2lb 2oz. 9lb at 37wks and 11lb at 41wks when he was born

Ds1 not daw

Take with pinch of salt - had a scan at 39+6 and they said 9 pound 13, she was born vaginally with no issues (refused section and induction) at 8 pound 6 - her head was massive though, 98th centile! I had some stitches but a very easy recovery and hardly any pain after.
the NICE guidelines say large baby isn’t a reason to induce - most issues come from induction, ie epidural, assisted birth or emergency section!

I had a scan at 34 weeks with my first and he was 6lb4 at the time. I went on to birth a 10lber! Currently 30 weeks with my second, measuring ahead and off for a scan at 34 weeks. No doubt theyll tell me I'm growing another big one!

With DS1 I was told consistently that he was a "big baby". I was even identified to be a part of the "big baby trial" at the time 😂

I was induced at 39+1 due to hypertension and baby was only 7lbs!

Had a growth scan today with DS2. Currently 36 weeks and estimated at 6.5lbs. I'm not paying too much attention to it this time.

Had a scan at 34 weeks with my first, estimated 6lbs 11! He was born via emcs (after failed induction) 8lbs 3 at 38 weeks so probably would have been pretty big if I’d gone to term/over.

I wouldn’t worry too much my friend gave birth to a tiny 5lber who caused more damage than her next at 7lbs ish! I’ve heard anecdotally that bigger babies are easier to push out 🤔😅

Hey! I’m currently 31 weeks and I’ve been told baby HC is off the scale! It’s like >99th percentile! I’m so worried after google searching. And to top it off my amniotic fluid is too much as well… I have been referred to fetal medicine and super worried what to expect. I have felt completely fine in myself. GTT test was normal as well and baby is active. This has just completely blindsided me
