I've got two dd's aged 6 and 7 and I'm worried I've forgotten it all! (Sure I haven't really but would just like to reassure myself!). Can you tell me which books you found the most helpful/informative/non preachy?

TIA
Miaou

Yet another vote for Kaz Cooke's The Rough Guide... for pregnancy.

Penelope Leach "Your Baby & Child" is ok for after the baby's born (not that you get any time to read it then of course).

I'm pg with dd2 and have been following "The Gentle Birth Method" by Dr Gowri Motha. After dd1 being born at 31 weeks, I am trying anything to keep this baby in longer. I don't know if it will work yet but I'm really enjoying following the bones of her programme (I'm only following the diet, doing the yoga and listening to the tapes). I figure if it makes birth an enjoyable experience it can't be a bad thing...

Am an excited expectant first time mum and am loving the Kaz Cooke - Rough guide to Pregnancy, she is so funny and makes me feel like i am not losing my marbles (only 11 weeks). Its the only book my husband also likes to read!!
