Hi all,
Yesterday morning I woke up for a wee and saw bright red blood on my tissue. I rung epu and got an appt at 10.30. Weirdly the bleeding had pretty much stopped after the initial wipe - was just brown. Had a scan and saw my baby moving around happily and heartbeat was fine.
Was told by nurse its common to bleed and was sent on my way.
Woke up this morning at 6am and when I went to toilet, the tissue was bright red and so was the toilet. Since then when I'm wiping it's more dark red / browning. I know My scan was fine but is this normal and has anyone else experienced anything similar? I don't have any pain whatsoever.

I would call them back and tell them your worried and what if anything you should do, they may want to rescan, hope all goes well 💞

Hi @Amyp1234 i did have bleeding during my pregnancy. At 7 weeks i had so much blood i thought that's it my bubba has gone but she was still there and gave birth to her in October.
For reassurance speak to your midwife.
Sending you positive bubba vibes and hoping all is ok xx

Thanks for your replies. I've had no bleeding since 6am. So hopefully it has stopped. EPU said they would only scan me again if bleeding persisted for a week. So fingers crossed I have no more.

Hi @Amyp1234 , I also heard from the midwives (and from many accounts on this forum), that bleeding is quite 'common' (midwife told me that 1 in 5 women experiences some bleeding during pregnancy).
Although I would say that given that you've bled before and the scan showed the baby perfectly healthy, I would still push for an earlier appointment. It's likely to be nothing serious, but for your own peace of mind you have every right to be taken seriously. Have they said you had anything, like placenta pravia?
