I was wondering if anyone else has had this. I’m 28 weeks, barely feeling anything. When the baby moves I do feel it but I have to really concentrate/give it a poke! Because it’s so hard to notice I can’t establish any sort of pattern.
My previous pregnancy the movements were much stronger and the baby much much more active.

I have had a midwife check yesterday and the heart beat was sitting at 110bpm, right on the lowest level of normal (110-160) so she wasn’t concerned but every other time my babies have been 140 ish. Everything else seems to be fine. It’s got me worried now there’s something wrong, but I haven’t had any changes it movement because it’s always like this. It’s always barely moved. It is moving though, just not with any great enthusiasm or strength (or pattern really)

Is it possible it’s ‘just’ a lazy baby or should I be pushing for more investigations ? I already have growth scans due to previous that start next week!

I would definitely push. Just for peace of mind. What placenta do you have? X

I have no idea but I don’t think it’s at the front from the last scan, I’m sure she said at the back! I have another scan on Monday hopefully they can tell me more then, I’m going to worry all week now I wish she hasn’t mentioned the heart beat at all.

My baby was the same at that gestation, I'm now 36 weeks and she still isn't a big mover. No concerns over heart rate, I mention it every time and am told as long as I report anything what isn't normal for her. It's still difficult as she has no pattern, I was told eat chocolate/have a bath and then a lie down get her moving but that doesn't work. I have growth scans so that reassurance keeps me going. I'd definitely mention it each time see if anyone suggests doing anything further??

If your worried I would call her back tomorrow otherwise you'll torture yourself all weekend, drinking ice cold water can get baby moving if you want to try that x

I'd push. Why live with the niggle of worry if you don't have to? Give yourself peace of mind that you've asked them to check you over further Flowers

Dc1 only moved for about 5 minutes at 4pm and then maybe 10 minutes at 10pm. The only tube he really moved is when I went to watch a very very noisy production in the rose theatre kingston.

Even cold or hot drinks barely did much.

Dc2, on the other hand....

I had this with my second pregnancy, my first was such a active baby and my second baby hardly moved, the placenta wasn't even anterior but he was just generally a very inactive baby, born perfectly healthy at 7lb 11 (heavier than my first) and ended up being a very chilled baby. He's 4 now.

The position of the placenta can make movements more difficult to detect. Ask where it is. I think anterior
