Waters gone at 34 weeks?!

My waters went today at 34+1, been into hospital and they did a test to make sure it was fluids and it was positive. They aren't doing anything tonight but want to scan in morning and make a plan from there apparently. Lying in hospital bed googling everything now! I had threatened premature labour at 29 weeks, so have had both doses of steroids thankfully.

Anyone had this happen?! I'm wondering if they're likely to want to deliver tomorrow or not. She said she wants to do a scan because his growth has been slowing over my last two scans and she wants to make sure it's not fallen off the chart before she decides on delivery. Does that mean she'll deliver if he's too small or he'd need more time to grow? I didn't ask enough questions and now have loads!

just came to say good luck OP and sorry you weren't taken seriously by your earlier midwife, it's the worst feeling, we know our bodies, wishing you a straightforward labour x

Thinking of you @doingitalllagain 🤍

So glad you have the morning team and they seem wonderful x

Ask about antibiotics as you are at risk of infection with early rupture of membranes

It's not picking up contractions anymore, my cervix is only 1cm and the scan was fine and there's still plenty of fluid so I've definitely not lost all of it. I'm even more confused now. I've got really bad stomach pains and don't feel very well and just have a bad feeling and they are now saying everything's fine and trying to send me on my way. I'm so thrown Sad

OP ask to see a consultant about the ongoing pain, don’t leave if it’s not explained.
How far away from the hospital do you live, and do you have someone available 24/7 to drive you to it?

Glad your baby is staying put for now OP and hope the pain subsides for you soon.
