Hcg rising too rapidly ??

Hello

i had several previous pregnancy losses including suspected ectopic and mmc. I am now pregnant after a break of trying, and was delighted to discover that my hcg had more than doubled. However, after ten minutes of delight I remembered that if hcg rises too quickly (not something I dealt with in previous losses, was always too low or too slow) it could actually be really bad. I’m now terrified of a molar. Can anyone tell me if they had hcg rising rapidly and what the outcome was? Mine is doubling every 29 hours.
I had first test Thursday morning and hcg was 35; today Monday (96 hours later) it was 340. If it had doubled it would have been 140.
my doc seems quietly concerned which all feels very familiar after the ectopic. got to retest in 48 hours which feels like forever.
please if anyone has any experience of rapid increase I’d be very grateful to hear.
thanks in advance

Either twins or nothing in my experience

My HCG levels were ridiculous - more than doubled every 24 hrs. 4 bouncing babies later (and a hell of a lot of sickness)

I don’t mean nothing as in (no baby) I mean it can be indicative of multiple pregnancy or it can mean nothing!

Mine did this, I have a thyroid disorder, consultant attributed it to this after ruling out twins.

Mine was the same for a twin pregnancy. The fertility clinic actually said at 5 weeks we think your having twins (they compared to previous pregnancy). Confirmed at 6 weeks by which time I had multiple symptoms.

Thanks so much for replying! I feel a lot better reading some positive outcomes to balance out the horrors in my head. I know that nothing is certain but I feel it’s so important to try and stay positive until we know it’s bad news, otherwise it’s just hell!! Easier said than done tho.
I have wondered about thyroid but I had tests done for all that stuff and nothing was detected. I’m new here, didn’t expect such quick replies- very grateful xx

To those who had twins, did you have a family history of twins? As far as I’m aware there’s no history in my family although we don’t know my mothers biological father. I think it’s passed on via maternal sides anyway…
to be honest I’d be extremely happy to have twins despite only imagining the exhaustion! I’m 38 and my partner is much older so it’d be perfect in a way!
I’m only 4 weeks today so my levels are definitely on the higher side if they continue as they are. So far my symptoms are not too bad- some nausea and cramping and fatigue but nothing major… I’m preparing for some serious stuff soon from what you are saying if it continues.

Brilliant news!!!! Congratulations. I'm an older mum, so worried about chromosomal
Problems and definitely not in a financial position to have twins so got very panicked! So pleased it worked out for you
