I'm 22 weeks with mcda twins and due to having some issues along the way, we haven't yet bought a single thing and probably won't until they actually arrive safely. We are expecting NICU time.

However we would like to have a list ready to buy if all goes well so we arent totally lost!

Does anyone have any recommendations for things that really helped them with twins?

The pram that pops up everywhere is the mountain buggy duet, do you think adding thr carry cots is worth it?

@twinmumtobe23 awww congratulations 😊 mine are a boy & a girl. I've realised I need to start getting stuff sooner rather than later now or I'll never manage it 😂

How lovely!! Team blue. How's your pregnancy going for you? 💙💙

@twinmumtobe23 Unfortunately we've had a bumpy road as my twins had TTTS so we had to have laser surgery at 17 weeks. So far so good though since!
How is yours?

Ahh OP, my MCDA girls are almost 3 and I remember feeling like that. We got absolutely nothing until the last minute, and nobody "got" it because they didn't understand the complications. Although we didn't go through TTTS, we had some cord flow issues and were expecting problems at birth. However, when delivered at 35 weeks my girls didn't require any NICU time and did really well. Just to offer you some hope that it can go better than you think. Also I absolutely loved the newborn stage and the first year. Anyway, that wasn't what you were asking about!

If bottle feeding, definitely a Perfect Prep machine. Also yes to the Milton Steriliser.

The Mountain Buggy is fantastic, we didn't have the carrycots and don't feel we'd have got much use out of them. A major plus of the MB is its lay-flat option.

I can't think of anything else right now but will have a think!

Yy to Milton steriliser. Not as fancy as a microwave one or electric one but actually very practical and what was used in our local children's hospital when DS was a few months old. Also means if you go out to family etc you just need to take a Milton tablet with you and use a jug etc.

Worth giving thoughts to a breast pump too. Whilst you're in hospital you can use one there if babies are too small to feed

@CrumbleScrumble thanks for your recommendations and kind words! I agree, people don't seem to get it and I think they think we are just being unorganised but I'd just prefer to wait for now. I'm glad to hear your girls were born without problems!
