Hi everyone

I need to get a pregnancy pillow that supports my back as well as my bump as I have sciatica. There are so many about, I am just looking for some recommendations.

MNHQ update:
This is an old thread, but if you've landed here while on the hunt for pregnancy pillow recommendations, our guide to the best pregnancy pillow has been recently updated to reflect current availability and new releases. It includes a wide range of options (including many designed to relieve back ache) all tried, tested and approved by Mumsnet users. Hope it's helpful! Flowers

I had sciatica in my twin pregnancy (and was size of a full term pregnancy at 24 weeks) I actually went for an extra long pillow that I could bend into whatever shape I needed at the time. Think I bought mine in dunelm but yhat was 14 years ago.

NOT the dreamgenie what a waste of money

I have a bbHugMe. Pricey (although if you get it off Natural Baby Shower you do get 10% off your first order, they also have some seasonal prints well reduced) but honestly it’s brilliant. It’s filled with beans rather than pillow stuffing and you can use the toggles to decide how firm you want it. I also tied the ends to make it into a donut seat which we used for DD when she was born, and propped it behind her when she was starting to sit on her own. I’m 19w now with no. 2 and it’s just been brought out of storage again, much to DH’s annoyance! You’d have to prise it out of my chubby, preggo hands.

bbHugMe. Expensive but so worth it

Another vote for the pricey bbhug me, do not bother with the dream genie or baby bub pillows.

another vote for Bbhugme. Had the dream genie in my first pregnancy and hated it so bit the bullet and got the Bbhugme this time and I love it so much

BBhugme. Very expensive but worth every penny. I also suffer with sciatica, as well as herniated disc issues and neuralgia. This pillow has been a game-changer for me and I'll be using it for a long time after baby is here.

I got mine from John Lewis and was able to pay via PayPal (they have a pay in 3 option and also credit options to make it more affordable).

Don't go for the Koala Babycare pillow. I found the shape of it wasn't ideal and it was way too firm to feel comfortable.

I got one from Pharmedoc and it was wonderful. I had sciatica about a year after pregnancy and used it again then, it's very supportive.

I did get it on Amazon and they all look out of stock at the moment - but if you can find one on another UK website then I'd definitely recommend it.

Another vote for the bbhugme. I got mine slightly cheaper off of ebay. I love it so much and so does my cat (and he is a fussy dude).
