Increased movements

So I’m currently 25+5 days pregnant and ever since last night my baby has been non- stop moving and it’s making me worried. I called the maternity unit and they asked me to come in to check his heart beat. The MW said everything sounds normal and he could just be extra wriggly at the moment. I’m still worried about it as I can still feel him move all the time currently. Did anyone else’s MW just use a droppler when there was increased moments and everything turned out okay? I just don’t know if that’s enough to detect if he’s distressed or not or if there’s something not right?

Hey OP, I had my baby 3 months ago. Around the 32 week mark he was moving like CRAZY absolutely non stop. I called the day assessment unit and they didn't seem too worried about said movement is healthy (but annoying in this case!) baby turned out absolutely fine. He was just having a massive party for about 2 days. X

Thank you for your comment! Glad everything was fine that makes me feel a bit better. Suppose it would be more of a cause for concern if they was moving a lot and then the movements reduced. Little monkeys! Pregnancy is just so worrying at times

I had a big increase in movement at about 25 weeks and he basically never stopped. Phoned mat assessment and they weren’t interested - only reduced movements (I know the advice is any change). Brought it up at subsequent midwife appt and heart rate was all ok. Currently have an almost ten week old baby boy on my chest born at 38+6 and all healthy and well 😊 x

Hi thanks for your reply! Glad everything turned out okay and you’ve got a healthy baby boy. It’s better to be safe than sorry. He’s changed position so I can’t feel him as much as I had when he was being really active for a few days- another worry :) x
