Drinking sandy tap water for 5 days!

Hi all, just wondered if anyone could help alleviate a worry for me... I've tried googling but no joy and I can't get through to my midwife.

In short, we had a water leak on Saturday on our road, and then low pressure for five days since. We could drink tap water but couldnt shower etc as pressure was too low to reach bathrooms. It's been fun.

Today it was fixed and the plumber said the sandy blockage has meant that we were drinking sandy water for five days. I'm pregnant and now feeling a bit worried - is this going to have affected the baby in any way?

I've googled and all that comes up is toxoplasmosis, but I think that's around cat feces in sand. I've had cats all my life and have two furry friends at the moment who go outside, so assuming I'm probably immune but should I be worried??

This is my second pregnancy but would be my first child, so I'm anxious naturally anyways, so any thoughts appreciated.

Sorry I don't know the answer but could you call the water company and see what they say?

@Zen8 the water company have been absolutely appalling (Thames water) and have ignored us for days, in the end we finally got a contracted plumber out, so I don't think they'll give two hoots at the moment sadly - average wait time to report an emergency leak or no water is like 1.5h!

Oh no. I don't think I would risk it to be honest. I remember when we had some work done to the water system in the area a lot of people were getting urine infections so if you can I would probably use a filter jug and boil or use bottled water just in case. It'll probably be OK but just in case.
