Congratulations on all your pregnancies!! I'm gate crashing from the conception board. I hope that's ok 😁

So, sperm can live for 5 days in good conditions. How true is this? And does anyone have any tales of a successful pregnancy from DTD 4/5 days before ovulation?

The reason I ask is that I'm due to ovulate tomorrow but only managed to DTD on Saturday and Sunday just gone and it's not possible tonight 😩

I’ve finally had my dating scan and they’ve moved me forward by 5 days so DTD Sunday, implanted Monday

We think DS1 was from these super sperm that hang around for a long time. We couldn't work out the dates to match the scan and knew exactly when we'd DTD last. DH read an article that said sperm have different jobs. Some just shoot off looking for an egg straight away, some go with them but are just in the pack of swimmers and are not fertilisers, some just swim in circles and never go anywhere and others find 'pockets' to hide in and wait in a latent state conserving energy and when they, somehow, sense an egg then come out- by which time the first lot who shot off are dead of exhaustion. It said they could live 10-14 days.

This was very interesting to read! Thank you for sharing! Im hoping theres a super sperm in me somewhere waiting to fertilise 🤣

That's just it! I must have conceived with a super sperm! My dates don't match up at all, apparently I conceived whilst my partner was out of the country. And we definitely were not trying. Looking forward to telling my partner about his super sperm Grin

Ermmm YES. Was tracking ovulation to avoid pregnancy and planned to start TTC #2 the following month. We DTD on a “green” day according to my app 28th December & I ovulated 5 days later (1 day earlier than my app predicted) on the 2nd Jan.. I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant 😂❤️
