Sudden loss of symptoms - reassurance vs realism

Hi all

I have had 2 MMC's this year - 11 weeks and 8 weeks. The 8 week loss was tested and came back as a diagnosis of Edward's syndrome.

I am currently 7+5 and have been experiencing strong nausea and sore boobs since around week 3.

Yesterday my symptoms started fading and I've woken today without any symptoms. I can Google for reassurance but I think what I need is realism.

I have also had some cramping and my bowels seem more active than usual.

Really just need someone to talk to. I have a scan on Weds but if I make it to then and it's bad news, selfishly I won't be able to take any action as it will be Xmas and I'm damned if my son won't have a great Xmas because this might have happened again.

Just feel more anxious than I ever have. Want to fall asleep for a long time.

Thank you - all was well! Currently nearly 15 weeks, this is the rough bit as symptoms are again waning so my anxiety is playing up again. Just need to accept that this is the way now!

It's reading tea leaves. As you know from a few weeks ago!

You're not going to relax until you're holding a baby (and not even then, sorry) so just being OK with not being OK is something you'll have to practise. Easier said than done.

Absolutely - my consultant put the fear up me this week as I have IBD and now a UTI, saying any more inflammation and I'm likely to miscarry, I think that's why I've spiralled so much. I'm pragmatic and balanced in real life, it seems that when I'm pregnant I fall apart 😂
