Transverse at 33 weeks - experiences?

Hi there.

I'm 33 weeks and my baby has been transverse for a long time. I've tried the inversion technique, spending a lot of time on my ball and being on all fours but she isn't keen to turn.

Was anyone else's baby transverse at this stage and went on to turn by themselves? I have a c section booked for the end of Jan (unrelated to her position) and am hoping she will get into position in time and I can have a vaginal birth.

Have you had a baby before? If so then baby will have more space to move about still.

I wouldn’t worry too much tbh, a baby being transverse at full term is pretty rare, our bodies know they either need to be head down or breech in order to exit.

@PinkPlantCase yes, my daughter was born by ELCS ten years ago (head down but back-to-back).

Thank you. She's obviously comfortable as she's been in the same position for weeks and weeks.

I'm currently in hospital being induced! My baby was breach and turned at 35 weeks - it a can happen ☺️🤞

Just to add I am 41+6 now 😁

My first was transverse at this stage and later, she had changed position by the time it came to give birth, still plenty of time I wouldn’t worry

@K37529 thank you 😊

Yes… but she flipped to breech at about 35 weeks, but was back transverse by 39 when I had a c section (which was fine). She’s still a contrary soul.
