SNOO yes or no?

Hey guys,
FTM here, just purchased a SNOO for my expected arrival in June (delayed delivery until June) as was 40% off.
My friend just advised me UK midwives/ lullaby trust don’t recommend but it’s gotten amazing safety praise online.
Has anyone used and would recommend or vice versa?
For context I bought due to anxiety of falling asleep rocking baby and of baby rolling into side of cot in sleep.

Yes I did! Love it and highly recommend. I didn't know it was advised against? I just limited the speeed at which it can rock as I found level 2 a bit too aggressive! But it helped with night feeds as I'd feed baby and pop her straight into the snoo to rock her back to sleep. No issues with weaning her off either x

@testy1997 me either, she said it’s something to do with overheating and rolling and not being able to roll back?
Thanks for the advice! Think I’ll be sticking with my purchase 🙏🏻

@testy1997 night feed support was the biggest thing I was looking for so I’m thrilled to hear that too x

If someone gave it to me as a present, I would embrace it with both arms. I just can't quite justify the cost to myself.
Can they be used second hand??

A friend of mine is a GP and loved her Snoo. She is pretty safety conscious and obviously her job means she wouldn’t take unnecessary risks with her babies

The Lullaby trust doesn’t recommend or endorse any sort of products. They have a very black and white approach to things. So just because they don’t recommend (or advise against them) it doesn’t mean they have evaluated it and found it is dangerous - it just means that anything that isn’t within their guidelines is automatically on the ‘not recommended’ list

@UsernameNotPresent i believe so.
They are also currently 40% off £700 felt way more doable than the nearly £1200 they usually are.
You can also delay delivery until close to your due date.

@tenbob that’s so helpful thank you so so much! 🙏🏻 makes so much more sense now.

I had one and didn't really like it as it did seem to rock the baby very quickly. I used it on weaning mode and sold it after a few weeks. I preferred a standard Next2me. I think it's worth it if you have a baby who really won't settle, but wouldn't bother getting one in advance

Following as I also bought one on the 40% deal (my previous boss raved about it)!

Not really sure about the rolling risk… the sleepsuits come with little wings you have to plug in to stop any rolling before it will work.

I was searching for threads on the snoo, like you I bought one in the sale and I’m due early July :) It’s meant to be extremely safe for the baby, my main concern is how noisy it will be for us to sleep!
