What did everyone use for their twins to sleep in for the first 6 months in your bedroom?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with twins. I have a side sleeper for them to share to start with then I'm letting them share a big cot. When they get too big I'll buy a second cot X

Mine (now teens so more on the market these days) were in a moses basket together (I found that they settled each other and I didn't need to rock them to sleep which becomes very difficult as they get bigger). When they outgrew this I put them into a cot together where they slept until they went into beds.
A midwife who had twins herself advised me to do this from day one, it was great and they slept so much better than my first. I also woke them at the same time to feed so they got into the same sleep routine.

I am a twin mummy, my twins are DCDA and boy and girl. I choose to sleep my twins separately for a few reasons:

Firstly being that they can only safely share until they are rolling which can be as early as 4 months depending on the baby. My girl twins was rolling for ages before my boy twin did. Also I didn’t want them to go through the anxiety of being separated once they were more aware when time came.

Secondly I worried about safe sleep guidelines and over heating and all sorts of other things so found it easier and worried less knowing one couldn’t accidentally smother the other, very unlikely to happen but it was one less thing to worry about.

Thirdly them being separate meant that if one was unwell or unsettled they didn’t wake the other one up.

Down stairs for napping I had 2 Moses baskets and upstairs next to my bed I had 2 bedside cribs, I couldn’t attach them both to the bed so I just had them freestanding at an angle which meant I could see and reach them both. Another option if you have the space is to do 2 space saver cots instead. Mine lasted until 10 months in their cribs, and I could have longer if I’d had the space saver cots instead.

Mine are now share a room and have a cot each and have transitioned really well.

I have linked a twin side sleeper that wasn’t available when I was due my babies, if it had I definitely would have purchased it. It’s the best of both worlds really as they can be together or separate.
