C section scar pain...25 weeks

Actually 25 weeks tomorrow, I've been having pain in my scar for a while (2 previous sections!) And my midwife this week said that baby is currently transverse and that could explain why I've been feeling uncomfortable. However this evening it's really quite painful...I guess I'm asking if anyone else has had this, and reassurance that I'm not just being a giant wuss 🤣 but also...at what point is it a concern?

Sorry, I realise that's a complete ramble

I've had pains in my c section scar as my bump expanded even though it's 6 years old with my current pregnancy although seems to be a bit better now in 3rd trimester. The scar tissue doesn't seem to stretch as well as the rest so get pulling pains and soreness, particularly in an area of mine which got infected so took a long time to heal.

I would get it checked out..a doctor or nurser did check mine for hard areas, heat, swelling etc and I think some problems might show up on an ultrasound. Scars can very very occasionally rupture during pregnancy rather than during labour.. although it's highly unlikely to be that still worth getting checked out. If it's bump growing pains you might find it useful to get a bump band to provide some support to your stomach muscles. It's basically a piece of fabric with Velcro straps which you were under the clothes. Or some people use that special tape I think it is kinesiology tape or something.

Following to see if anyone can advise

I'm 29 weeks and have the same thing. I had it on and off a few weeks ago but was bearable but last night I couldn't really move with the pain. Feels slightly better this morning but any form of pressure, walking, standing on one leg etc actually hurts my scar area

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info online either which obvs isn't helpful for us!

How are you feeling today op

Thank you, I will have a look into a band and see if it helps

@2020firsttimemum it's a bit better this morning, unfortunately I've got to go to work which is always uncomfortable 😂 I know I had some stretching etc in my last pregnancy, so wondering if it gets worse with more scar tissue?
Do you know what position your baby is in?

@Dreamingof3 oh no, is there any way they can accommodate to do something less strenuous for you?
Baby is head down - she was transverse at 17 weeks but has been head down since. Actually had a scan yesterday too and she was all curled up with feet, hands and cord by her face 🙈

It's not even that strenuous 😂 just involves crouching and bending, so im going to finish after Xmas! Sounds like a lot all down low so that's probably putting pressure on your scar too! These babies 🙈

You will have alsorts of surgical adhesions that are being stretched and torn atm! If you could go to your pregnancy assessment unit, hopefully they'd take a querie of the scars breaking down as seriously if you are worries.
