Advice for Xmas baby due

We’re hosting a Ukrainian mum who has a due date on Xmas day. It’s her second and a big baby. Is it likely- do you think - that they’ll induce her before her due date?
we had a family holiday booked from the 19th-27th. Her mum will be here with her but I am their transport., There is no one I feel I can ask to do it and apparently taxis refuse to take women in labour in this area . Ambulances so unreliable too. Any thoughts at all?

Maybe there is a church that has sponsored some Ukrainian citizens that will be able to help?
I hope you find someone!

Why not ring some taxi companies to ask rather than go on “apparently”

can you pop a post on a local Facebook page?

Can you ask friends or neighbours to be on standby? And promise to have waterproof sheeting available?

Thanks. I feel I have a duty of care to the mum as we’re hosting. I can’t ask a stranger to be on constant standby . I was wondering how likely she might be induced early?

Just don't tell the taxi company she's in labour.

Why do you have to tell the taxi co that she’s in labour? Even if it becomes apparent whilst they’re on the way to the hospital I seriously doubt they’ll kick her out at the side of the road!

Why would she be induced early? I don't think the convenience of avoiding an Xmas baby is a reason to be induced. Find a backup plan so you can go on holiday and she has cover.
