What colour clothes are you taking for baby? White? Can you post pictures of what you have? I still have a long way to go and always end up taking the wrong stuff!

We bought a totally neutral colours newborn set in H&M.

You can get whatever colours you want though - the baby won't care!

PinkButtercups · 29/11/2022 22:24

I'm being induced with my twins next week. I didn't find out the sex with DS either. I took white.

I have white this time, a lot of the clothes are DS's newborn clothes actually. A few bits from H&M that are near teal, cream, white, brown etc.

PinkButtercups · 29/11/2022 22:25

Neutral not near teal*

Mummyme87 · 29/11/2022 22:26

I got lots from Frugi/duns/polarn o Pyret in lots of different colours. Red, purple, green, blue, grey etc.

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 29/11/2022 22:27

I had a few rainbow striped baby gros, with some white with multi coloured prints. And other neutrals.

Cuppsoupmonster · 29/11/2022 22:27

I find ‘gender neutral’ clothes to be really dull, just white and grey usually. Sure you can get brighter colours and more neutral prints but they’re usually very expensive like Frugi.

Hatscats · 29/11/2022 22:28

I had every colour going for my daughter, some all blue sleepsuits and I didn’t care people assumed she was a boy 😂 lots of animal prints, bright colours. The usual whites and neutrals too but I prefer colour!

Jexi · 29/11/2022 22:29

We're just going to get a few gender neutral bits then after he or she is born I'm jumping on the internet and will do an online order.

sunflowerdaisyrose · 29/11/2022 22:31

A few cheap white babygros and a couple of the embroidered jojo maman ones. I also liked brightly coloured ones! Once they were born I received lots of clothes too!

RebeccaCloud9 · 29/11/2022 22:33

We have plain white vests and some plain white sleepsuits and some white and pale grey (sets of grey dots, grey stripes). All very cute. Mostly sets from m and s, vests from next. White is good for poo explosions as you can bleach it! Mine all have lived in vests and sleepsuits until about 3 months. Even cardigans and outerwear gro things have been barely worn.

stuntbubbles · 29/11/2022 22:34

A load of stained old stuff from DD, and some slightly brighter hand me downs from her cousins, whose parents are more organised with laundry than me. Didn’t think about it with her and haven’t thought about it this time tbh! A poonami in a babygro is a poonami in a babygro, regardless of colour!

GeraltsGirl · 29/11/2022 22:35

I tie-dyed loads of newborn and 0-3 month white baby grows in various different colours and patterns, they got so many compliments as they were so unique, and loads of people asked where I bought them from! I did orange, red, green, yellow, fuchsia, blue, teal, violet etc etc. You can keep it as toned down with pastel colours or as bright and funky as you like. I will definitely be doing this again next time :)

roarfeckingroarr · 29/11/2022 22:39

Neutral, white and pastels.

Amblesidebadger · 29/11/2022 22:39

Zippy babygros from Little Bird (was Mothercare now Next) in white with rainbow coloured images. A couple of zippy babygros from M and S with pattern / shapes but fairly bland grey / beige / turquoise. Cute knitted cardigans in white and lemon.

We loved this pack from John Lewis:

I personally prefer neutrals. IMO there’s nothing cuter than a newborn just in a fresh white sleepsuit 😍 (which obviously gets shit all up the back of it the minute you put it on 🤣)

We bought lots of plain white, oatmeal type colours, sage green etc. We got so much stick from our families for not finding out as they were apparently “unable to prepare” 🤔🤣 After DS was born we were inundated with gifts of pale blue everything which I know some people love but it’s really not for me at all.

RagingWoke · 29/11/2022 22:51

I didn't find out with either dc and bought all neutral, stayed that way for a while too as they were so much nicer!

DDs first 'outfit' was a cream sleepsuit with little koalas on it. DSs first outfit was a white sleepsuit with sheep on it. My favourite one of DSs was a white sleepsuit with fruit print from m&s.

You can get frugi and similar or brands second hand for a reasonable price. Primark, m&s and Asda do carry a decent neutral selection too although often labelled as boys/girls so harder to find.

EL8888 · 01/12/2022 19:33

@AnnieApple123 that’s a cute set

We are going garish and patterned in various colours! That’s my husbands taste. We are having twins and us not finding out the sex is stressing out family members -we are fine with it though!

Garman · 01/12/2022 20:02

I brought clothes with lots of different colours, why would they have to be all white? Babies can wear whatever colours you want them to.

BabyB2022 · 01/12/2022 20:45

I didnt find out last time, nor this time and have quite a few neutral babygrows. I found George pretty good for multipacks for neutral babygrows.

DappledThings · 01/12/2022 21:10

I hated white baby clothes (any age white clothes really but especially baby ones) or anything pale. Didn't find out sex of either DC before birth but had loads of bright stripey onesies and a lot of green and yellow with dinosaurs, some nice navy blue with pink and white spots.

Basically I bought exactly the same ones not knowing as I would have done if I did know.

J1290 · 02/12/2022 13:51

Neutral with safari animals on
some have veggies on(from next)
and then a hippo set
