Have you called the hospital? I'm sure you have but just wanted to make sure.

They may try and keep baby in longer if you don't go into active labour but here's my story:

My waters went at 1am ish and I was 36 + 4 days so a bit further along than you - I had an elcs booked so had a semi emergency section - baby was born at 6.5lbs and was okay, didn't need any extra help but at 35 weeks (if you deliver now) baby may need sometime in the nicu but should be absolutely fine - keep us updated, hope everything goes okay Flowers

Are you in labour?

Mine broke at 35 weeks but I didn't go in to labour, and ended up being induced at 37 weeks. After my waters broke I stayed in hospital for 2 nights while they gave me steroids for DD in case she did come, and antibiotics to prevent infection - they also scanned me to check how much water I had left. They also arranged an additional scan at about 36 weeks, and I think also an extra blood test to check for any signs of infection. The induction was fine and she is now 6 months and all good.

Good luck!

Yes dd2 came suddenly at 35 weeks 14 years later the picture of health looks like a supermodel and towers over her friends. Good luck!

@PennyDeadful
In hospital now came straight down as baby is breech, on a ward now every time I stand it's just flying out off me.

@WeWereInParis
I'm feeling like period cramps on and off, it just leaving me the water so can't really see if there would be any left lol.

Twins born at 35 weeks, couple of weeks in nicu and needed help feeding etc, but now nearly 5, at school and doing fine. You're in the right place. Good luck!

Have they given you any reassurance?

Notanotherone5 · 24/11/2022 06:23

my twins were born at 34+5. No problems at all - twin 1 was in SCBU for 1 night and the other twin was on the ward with me within a couple of hours.

My waters went with no warning at 36 weeks, I went to hospital where they scanned me and kept me in overnight to give 2 doses of steroids 24 hours apart. I was then booked in for an induction at 37 weeks on the dot, baby came 2 days later though and was fine.

Useitorloseit · 24/11/2022 06:26

I forgot to say I hope all goes well for you 😊

Yes - mine broke at 35 weeks and had him after 9 hours! I was so worried and the room filled up as I was about to deliver. But he was fine and weighed 5 pounds. He’s a strapping nearly 17 year old now! Good luck! X

Mine went at 30w, last week. I’m still in hospital, had the steroids and meds to halt labour, not delivered yet, water still coming out every time I move.

Feel free to PM me if you’d like, I found that first 24 hours after they go was really scary but am now in the waiting phase where I could deliver any time between now and 37 weeks.

Mine went at 36 weeks! The day I had finished work (thinking I would have some time to rest and prepare) Strangly my husband had put the baby bag in the car and tidyed the house that day - he apparently had more of a feeling than I did. My waters broke but no signs of active labour. I was kept in hospital due to risk of infection (not UK based so this could be different) after one very painful night and one very pain free night - things started to happen and I gave birth to a very healthy (a little on the small side) girl! We had a few feeding problems in the first few weeks as I don’t think either of us were quite ready but it settled in in the end! You will be fine! Get ready to meet that little one in the not so distant future…..;)
