Literally since l got a positive pregnancy test then my chicken skin / Keratosis pilaris has ran wild. It’s spread from my bikini line down up as far as my knees. It’s probably on my bum but lm too scared to look! I have had it for a while but never as bad as this. AHA shower gels / moisturiser don’t seem to be working anymore

Pregnancy induces major changes to your body's systems -thank your hormones for that.

In a nutshell, certain proteins as an example (think enzymes, peptide hormones) start to be produced in greater numbers (some might even be suppressed) and you get changes in the way your body functions all in the interest of keeping baby growing. The skin is definitely one tissue that undergoes big changes during pregnancy.

Journal article about pregnancy hormones and keratosis (if you're that way inclined):

Keratosis pilaris in pregnancy: an unrecognized dematosis of pregnancy?
Jeffrey B Jackson et al. W V Med J. 2004 Jan-Feb.

The five cases presented in this study demonstrate keratosis pilaris as a condition in which the onset or severity of the dermatosis may be linked to the hormonal changes of pregnancy.

I can recommend CeraVe SA smoothing cream, it doesn't totally eradicate my kp but it works better than anything else I've tried. I just wish it was cheaper!

Deal of the day: CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream for Rough and Bumpy Skin 340g with Salicylic Acid and 3 Essential Ceramides amzn.eu/d/6qryNjM

@NameChangeNotAgain thanks for the info. I thought it might be hormonal changes, it at least will wear off over time hopefully
