And I’m terrified!
Has anyone had their baby this early and were they okay? I’ve been induced before at 38 weeks but due to a scan today he’s tailing growth and low fluid around him so they want me there in the morning to be induced. He was 5lb5oz today but I know they can be out, panicking he’s going to be a tiny 3 pounder! Experiences and handhold please 🙏🏼

I've had two inductions at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia.

I will warn you though that I didn't go into labour either time until the I was on delivery suite, and on the drip. For my first baby this was the next day. With my second, it was 4 days later thanks to bed and staffing pressures.

First was a vaginal birth, 3.315kg (7lb 5). Second was a C-section, 3.675kg (8lb 1). Nothing to do with the induction, baby was just in a bad position.

Both had a touch of mild jaundice and were very sleepy as a result. But after a few nappy only naps next to a window on a sunny day, and feeding every 2 hours, it quickly got washed away and they perked up.

Best of luck for tomorrow!

I had twins a week earlier than that. Their sucking reflex was a bit slow so they ended up in SCBU for a couple of weeks for tube feeding, but otherwise healthy, a good size and no problems

And now she's 16 and 5'9 lol 😂

Iv been induced twice at 37 weeks due to IUGR. Both my girls were 5lb 3oz and one needed a billibed for a day for jaundice and we stayed in 5 days due to suspected sepsis. I also have to have manual placenta removal both times (extremely unlucky by all accounts) however both inductions were quick and I only had gas and air for 2 hours the first time and an hour the second!
My mum told me to breathe in for 4 and out for 8 and that helped me so much with the second birth, she's 10 weeks old now and 10lb.

Good luck!

I was induced at 35+6, she weighed 4lb 12oz and was completely fine! Hope it goes well for you x
