Tips to make food go down

My food seems to take so long to go down kind of sits in my esophagus, I Ate hours and hours ago didn't feel like getting sick at all was just brushing my teeth, and when I brushed the back of my tongue I heaved (happens every time) but because felt like it was basically in my throat it came straight up then I couldn't stop until my entire meal was brought up, and it was hard and dry and so hard to puke up i thought I was going to choke, the food taking ages to go down happens all the time I'm nearly 15 weeks pregnant any tips?

Sorry if this is really obvious but my first thought is to make sure you are drinking plenty with your food? Maybe having a sip of water with every mouthful will help move it down?

Does it happen with everything you eat?

@OrcaBlondie yh I do drink lots and lots of water through the day but don't take sips while eating although I do guzzle a glass of water after but it doesn't make the food go down 😭 and yh happens everytime I eat but I don't vomit every time I just very uncomfortably full for hours and hours and hours
