Tests after recurring miscarriages

Was anyone able to get tests done after 3+ reoccurring miscarriages? If so, were you able to find the problem and get it resolved?

I’ve just had my 3rd miscarriage in a row. I opted for a surgically managed miscarriage and for the tissues to be investigated (sorry their words not mine) and then to be referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic. I asked my early pregnancy support centre for this when I found out I’d had a missed miscarriage and all seemed fairly simple to arrange. Afraid I’ve only just done that so I don’t know the outcomes yet but have been told to expect to hear back in the next few months.

apologies know you were looking for a fuller response but happy to share more once I know more. Sorry to hear you are going through this too.

@Doremi1689
I had bloods scans done only thing found was low vitamin d, after 4 miscarriages I'm now 34 weeks with my rainbow only thing was 1000iu vitamin d and progesterone until 16 weeks don't loss hope xx

I had bloods and an ultrasound to check previous miscarriage had completed fully and to check my reproductive organs were in tact and functioning. Some minor red flags raised by bloods but was only just outside of normal range for each so no treatment necessary. I did take cyclogest Progesterone pessaries for the first trimester for threatened miscarriage following early bleeding though in my subsequent (current) pregnancy - now 19w.

Thank you all for your replies. I went to the EPU today and was told I’m able to get referred to get tests to see the reoccurring miscarriages. They also said I should ask my gp for progesterone. @Babyghirl I didn’t know being low on vitamin D was an issue, I took folic acid daily but never took any vitamin d tablets so will definitely do now. I wish you all the best x

@Doremi1689 I'm so sorry for your losses. If you post this on the infertility boards instead of pregnancy boards you should have more responses. There are lots of people on there who have been through both NHS and private miscarriage clinics xxx

Doremi1689 · 17/11/2022 09:03

@Janefx40 thank you I will. I don’t often post here but it’s nice to speak to others who’ve been through the experience
