Smoked salmon when pregnant

I tried looking it up and I’m getting mixed results. I’d like some smoked salmon sushi (the salmon is cooked but it is cold). Just the type you get from the supermarket. Do you think this will be ok? I’m in England.

@NeverHadANickname and @ThanksItHasPockets I'll give myself a good slap. What comes round, goes round.

I ate tons when having ds I had no idea it wasn’t advised for some reason I’d only heard about pate and soft cheeses

If your DS is over about 8 months old then it would have been perfectly safe for you to eat smoked salmon. I have a 3 month old and the guidelines changed half way through my pregnancy.

I’m going to have to wait for this listeria outbreak to calm down. Not to worry though because I’ve had horrible morning/all day sickness for the past few days.

I love smoked salmon bagels and had them with all my babies. Didn't know they were not advised. The advice changes all the time and listeria outbreaks are so random...melon, watercress, salad, avocado...anyway, never had any issue.

The advice is related to a specific spate of listeria outbreaks this year and dates from August / September 2022. Unless you are currently pregnant or have a baby aged two months or younger it will not have affected your pregnancies.

I'm 7 months pregnant and have a 15 month old

Well, there you go; you can follow the updated guidance or not as you wish.
