Hi all, after some reassurance please. Woke up this morning with major ache across front middle top of bump (or what is left of abdomen above bump) and kind of spreads down both sides and lower front. Fairly constant, worse if I walk or do ANYTHING (like get toddler up and out of house) but quite bearable/forgettable while sitting doing nothing or lying down. I'm also feeling quite sick with it, when its bad and a bit wobbly, but not exactly faint.
I dragged myself into work (at hospital) so if I felt worse I could ask midwives, but wasn't quite in tears when I saw them so they just said (when saw me in passing, not seriously demanding help or advice) that aches and pains are normal and not to worry, and offered me cups of tea (yeuch, just a water girl me!)
Oh getting quite breathless when trying to do stuff/walk anywhere, more than usual.
thanks for any advice/sharing your experiences, this is secodn time around but not had this before!

Just bumping for you really, but it's your body, if you're worried, see midwife/doc formally. Normal shnormal, so annoying when you're in pain.

MumofK - don't panic but pain at the top of the bump can be an indicator of pre-eclampsia. How is your BP? Do you have oedema? Any headaches?

When was your urine last checked? It is worth dropping in a sample just to get it checked for protein as it's in the 2nd or 3rd trimester when signs of pre-eclampsia show up.

Or it could just be that your ligaments are stretching.

thanks all, still got it today and not dragging self into work to get told I'm normal!
WMMC- no oedema, urine's not dark (didn't think to do dipstick yesterday-doh).Headaches are normal for me, but no ususual headaches. I'm seeing midwife formally next week.
This ache is quite superficial, so I guess its ligaments/muscles stretching- with it going away when I don't move, and coming back when I try to do anything- rolling over in bed last night was miserable. If I don't move my back starts hurting, when I move my front starts hurting. Pregnancy- why does it have to last so long?! Now I don't mean I want mine to stop now, I just wish it was naturally shorter.....
I developed gall stones when off having DD, and have had 2 acute attacks of stones getting stuck- this pain isn't stabbing, liver isn't tender, and I'm not puking my guts up, so really don't think its 'organs'. And baby is active, ache not realted to baby moving, so don't think its that either. So, I'm not as scared as last night but if I get worse I'll get onto my GP, not that I think he'll be much use (hmmm, must be feeling better becuase if I'm really hopeless GP is very good at reassuring!).
Anyway, thanks all again. I just wish someone out there could say 'oh yes, I had that, it lasted x long but was fine after!!'

A pre-eclapsia related pain would be more to the right rather than central and normally be there all the time. Because its better when you're resting it does sound muscular and unfortunately not much can be done. Which is horrible I know. You can take paracetamol. And REST as much as poss.
