Hi all,

can I please get the best formula brand for newborns? (In your opinion)

Generally good advice to go for one that is widely available in different forms including readymade cartons and ready to drink bottles. Readymade is really convenient for the early days when baby doesn’t drink much. We started with Aptimal for that reason but DD spat up frequently on it and was going up to 7 days without pooping and getting uncomfortable. We eventually switched to Kendamil and she seems better on it. It’s more expensive and the readymade is harder to find but it smells much better (less fishy) than Aptimal which is a big plus for me as I’m quite sensitive to smells.

I also think it depends a lot on the baby.

I went for aptamil as it was in all local shops around me, this time I'll go for cow and Gate as the formula is identical now and it's cheaper. Kendamil was my first pick but isn't easy to find and I was nervous of running out
