Ladies I’ve got a sudden urge for snack a jacks the caramel ones! Are they okay to have in pregnancy? Or are they too much sugar?

No your baby will come out caramelised.

Hi OP,
I’ve noticed you’re creating threads literally every day asking about eating in pregnancy, and said you used to have an eating disorder.

Are you getting any help for your anxiety around food/eating? I think it might be useful to.

All the best with your pregnancy.

and yes working with a dietician however I’ve been advised to reduce sugar intake so was just a question!🥰

OP, you need to ask your midwife for some help with your anxiety. It isn't natural to be so worried about all these foods. Motherhood is going to be absolutely exhausting for you.

Cakecakecheese · 04/11/2022 16:57

If you're worried about your sugar consumption check the packets for how much sugar is in the item.

Jadex92x · 04/11/2022 20:57

Agree with PP would be easier to read the packet for how much sugar it contains

I think you might need a different dietician. Unless you only eat sugary snacks or there's some other factor at play, there's no specific need to reduce sugar in pregnancy, especially if it's causing you anxiety. In the first trimester, it's often just a case of eating anything you actually can.

You've made about 10 posts recently about food/eating in pregnancy and worrying about very minor and non problematic things.

Your anxiety is clearly not being well controlled and turning to Mumsnet for support isn't going to help you because posters and not medical professionals and there are many nasty and impatient people that will make you feel worse.

You need to stop posting about food and use the NHS guidance for help making decisions and speak to your midwife and/or counsellor.
