IVF 2WW Anyone - October 2022??

Hi, I thought I would start a thread to hopefully share other peoples experiences of the dreaded tww!

I am only 1dp5dt (ft) so a long way to go before my testing day (9th Nov). The transfer went well with a little 3BB put in. Not bad quality (not the best either) but I am happy that we had any that reached day 5. We have 3 more that may potentially be ok for freezing, I find out today 🤞🏻. Slow developers!

I felt a little sore after the transfer and had a few twinges for the rest of the day. It’s almost impossible not to analyse every tiny sensation 😆.

It would be really lovely to share this experience with others in the same boat xx

@Sezzza They've actually given us an OTD of 16th, which would be about 16 days PO? Is ovulation calculated as the day of egg collection? I had my egg collection on 31/10 and day 3 transfer on 3/11. On a side note, I think we have 2 to freeze but I'm waiting on the clinic confirming :)

Oh that works out right @maybebaby2023 because you had a 3dt not 5. I think you would be 7dpo today if you are 4dp3dt…I think anyway. Don’t quote me on that. Fantastic that you may have some to freeze 🤞🏻.

I’m feeling like a total negative nancy today. Have had period like pains all day (more of an ache radiating to my lower back) which are different to the sharp pains I’ve had a few days ago. Boobs are less sore. I’m convinced it hasn’t worked and just feel miserable. It isn’t helping that the clinic just phoned to say we only have 1 5AB stored as the others arrested. Trying to tell myself to get a grip but I just feel so negative and disheartened.. 😔

I am right there with you @maybebaby2023. The further along I get in this TWW, the more I seem to convince myself it hasn’t worked. Trying desperately hard to think positively. A 5AB is fantastic to get in the freezer! I realised you may have wanted more but 1 is great. My symptoms seem to have disappeared. Up until yesterday, I was feeling all sorts of twinges. Let’s try and pick each other up. At the end of the day, we’re still in the race xx

@Sezzza we are indeed still in the race. How long is it until your test date? I’ve decided I’m not testing before the official date of the 16th as ignorance is bliss right now. Ask me again in 5 minutes though haha. I’ve also decided I need to do a digital test because I can’t imagine seeing 2 lines but I’m more able to visualise the words “pregnant” 😂 I really think I’m losing the plot here! Xx

i hope you are both doing ok, try hard to stay positive ( although I know the whole wait is a head fuck).

I felt like I was coming on my period the whole of the wait and still do… it’s so hard not to think about the signs/symptoms too much.

I am fully with you on a digital test, I wanted that but could t get hold of one so just have the lines and I have to admit I am continually over analyzing. I think because we have all been through so much to get to this point, there is a much more heightened sense of emotion.

@Germanlife technically 6 days as the OTD is the 16th. I’m toying with the idea of testing early. I still feel much the same - tired, crampy, sore boobs but I’m half convinced it’s the progesterone. I went back to work yesterday and have 2 more shifts before I’m off until the 18th, can’t concentrate at all!

@maybebaby2023 have you managed to hold off testing? It is sooooo hard!

How are you feeling @Germanlife ?? Is your body starting to change? I noticed my jeans felt tight today. Although, I think that’s mostly gas 😂.

@Sezzza @Germanlife so I conceded and did a test this morning 8dp3dt and look… 😱 I did a test a few days after ET to check if the trigger would show up and it was neg!

I had terrible nausea this morning… but it’s surprisingly reassuring! 10 Days until my first scan and the time is just going so slow!

Do you both know your next steps? X x

@Sezzza @Germanlife thanks ladies! I was driving home from work last night and felt sooo sick. I’m not a sicky person at all. Decided to do the test this morning thinking best case would be a really faint line and worst case is it might just be too early. I was really pleased with the line being fairly dark with it being quite early. I can’t believe it to be honest. Feeling so sick again but I think it’s because I haven’t eaten yet! I still have to wait until Wednesday to tell the clinic.

Hope the next 10 days fly by for you @Germanlife and all is fine with bubba. Will be so amazing for you seeing them on the screen xx

I am sorry to hear that you are both feeling nauseous. I’m struggling with severe tiredness and lack of brain 😂. Bloody nightmare. I couldn’t even work out what day it was.

My scan date is the 29th so still a fair old way away. Another wait!!

@Germanlife do you keep testing? I did 5 yesterday lol and am probably about to go and do another one now. No self control anymore.

@Sezzza i have tested every day! Just once a day in the morning but it makes me feel much better!

i can’t believe that we ladies @Sezzza @maybebaby2023 , if we are lucky will have our babies in our arms this time next year. Fingers crossed
