I am 15 weeks PG and they found my blood glucose levels to be slightly above normal BUT I think that I had just eaten lunch before my blood tests if I remember correctly. Could this have affected the levels and what are the chances that the glucose tolerance test will all come back clear?? This is my 2nd pregnancy and didn't have a GTT in my first, though had bloods taken obviously . Has anyone else had this and all turned out normal??

this is my fourth pg and have nothing but problems with so called GD this time. my GTT was ok but my baby is supposed to be big! i have had all this with other pregnancies with no problems but this time around my dad was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes just after dd2 was born two years ago. as soon as they found this out they pounced. and it has been relentless! constant appointments threatend with c-section, induction, you name it! i really wish i had said nothing as this pregnancy has been fine otherwise. Have also been testing sugar levels four times a day and apart from a couple above 7 well it was christmas all have been between 4 and 6. dont panic they seem to delight in putting teh fear of God into you and it works because you are pg and want to do the safest thing for your baby. you will be fine!

Thanks for your replies and sorry I haven't been able to reply sooner. I can't bear for them to get all excited over nothing - I shall do my reseach (thanks for the tips) and await my test results following the shinnanigans in a week's time.
