Covid at 12 weeks, nausea and vomiting, anyone else?

I've seen a few threads from people who are pregnant and have covid but not like this. Just as I was starting to recover from morning sickness, I caught covid and have been really nauseous and vomiting for nearly a week on and off. Have managed to still eat and drink a little and no fever or other symptoms but I feel absolutely awful! Did anyone else have symptoms like this? I feel like I will never stop feeling sick!

I had covid at 7 weeks and kept being sick with the coughing fits. The rest of my first trimester I only had nausea and wasn't actually sick. So whilst not exactly the same point, it definitely made me worse.
I'm now 22 weeks and my nausea has gone for quite some time, but if I'm unwell or very tired I get nauseous again. Hope you get better soon.

@BabyB2022 oh no that sounds rubbish. Glad you're feeling better now. Weirdly I have no symptoms except extreme nausea and vomiting but I tested positive. Now wondering if I've gone back to pregnancy nausea but yes I think the two combined has made the sickness worse!

Not me but a friend who was vomiting multiple times a day with her pregnancy until 16 weeks then got covid a couple of weeks after the vomiting subsided. She had a horrendous time and like you started vomiting again. However as soon as she recovered from the worst of the covid she felt much better and the sickness went away. She has just had covid again at about 28 weeks and coped with it much better. No sickness this time. I think it’s tricky when you’re in early pregnancy and have been very sick. I think anything that knocks you tends to trigger the sickness. But it sounds like you were on the way up so hopefully post covid you’ll feel much better. Sending you love.

@imy thanks for your reply, great to hear I'm not the only one! Yes I think that makes sense that covid triggered the sickness again. It seems slightly better after a week, at least I can keep a bit of food down now! Hoping it eases off soon...
