Good morning!

Curious to know how long it took people to conceive baby number 4 at 35(+) years old? Our other children are 12, 10 and 6 so it's been a while, and my body certainly feels it.

I am 35 now and I understand that there is a sharp decline in fertility from this age, but I'd like to know some real life experiences on this.

My other children were conceived fairly quickly and I suppose I am just a little anxious that it won't happen as easily this time.

Thanks

I'm 36, 12+3 weeks now, conceived on first cycle, very surprised! My partner is 41. We both did fertility tests in the run up to trying and they both came back with very positive results.

If you conceived quickly with other children then there is a good likelihood that you would conceive easily still at 35.

In terms of the pregnancy being harder, I have nothing to compare it to and again, your own pregnancy experiences are probably most relevant here! I've certainly felt tired, but also bursts of energy - cleaned the house top to bottom yesterday and walked 7k!

My partner does have two older children, 12 and 9 and I will say looking after them was more of a struggle through morning sickness, so it might feel like more of a struggle with other children to look after, even if they are older?

Wishing you lots of luck
