C-section or VBAC

Currently 10 weeks pregnant and my son has recently turned one. Even though it’s early days I’m struggling to make a decision about whether to have another c-section with this pregnancy or attempt a VBAC. With my son, he was born 5 weeks early due to complications but I had an elective section so didn’t experience labour or any trauma with the actual birth. It was however a very difficult experience with my son in NICU and SCBU afterwards and is something I would give my right arm to never repeat.

I’m leaning heavily towards another c-section mainly due to the fact that I think statistically a planned C-section is relatively low risk. However, the only reason why I’m swayed in the other direction is that I’d quite like a third child in the future (May change mind once I have the experience of two) and I’m aware that multiple C-sections carry further risks each time you have one.

I’m hoping someone will just tell me what to do but failing that if anyone can share their experiences of a VBAC or experience of three sections that would be wonderfully helpful!

I had an Awful first labour ended in an emcs booked as cs for number 2 but started early and changed my mind had a 12 hour strightforward labour. It was easy to recover from.
when labour started it felt much different to the first time

I've had 3 sections.
First due to breech. Second was a failed vbac (just didn't progress). Third was going to be another vbac attempt but was also breech. Recovery was straightforward for all of them and the scar is barely visible. However I was strongly advised not to have another as my surgeon for the third said I was in danger of rupture as the tissue was thin.

You don't need to decide now.

I've had friends do both but mostly the reasons for DC 1 being a section meant DC2 had to be one too.

You can always change your mind as your pregnancy progresses and if your risk profile changes.
