14 weeks and can’t relax

Anyone just feel constantly worried? I felt much more relaxed after my 12 week scan but it’s been 2 weeks now and I’m back to being worried again. I’m convinced that something bad has happened and I wouldn’t know. I’m tempted to book another private scan but just think that it will only make me feel better for a short period of time and il be worrying again a week later!
is it normal to feel like this?

Is this your first? Perfectly normal to be worried but try to relax, 14 weeks is a great time, sickness will have abated (hopefully) and you won't be feeling too heavy yet! I have to admit I was very anxious with my last baby (no 4 and was 38) as I couldn't believe I'd be so lucky for everything to be ok.. he's a lovely 6 month old chub now!

I think it’s quite normal, I found early pregnancy a very anxious time.

I had a private 16 week scan (and found out the sex) because it felt like such a long time between 12 and 20 week scans.

It was nice to have the reassurance that all was well. And for me, finding out the sex made it feel much more real.

Also I didn’t start feeling movements till quite late on. At my 16 week scan they told me to expect not to feel movements until later as my placenta was at the front. So that was good to know, would have been a worrying wait until 20 week scan if I hadn’t known and wasn’t feeling anything.

It’s my third but it is an ivf pregnancy so I think part of it is disbelief that it’s actually happening.
thanks for your feedback, nice to know I’m not totally crazy! Hopefully it won’t be long until I feel movements and I know that will be reassuring. Thank you!

Im in the same boat OP! 16 weeks, after 2 early miscarriages. As for you, the 12 week scan was a massive reassurance but it’s SO bloody long until the next one. Pretty sure I’m not getting to feel the kicks any time soon also with the first baby and anterior placenta. But I was very lucky that my midwife listened to the baby’s heartbeat at my 16 week appointment (15.5 in reality) - I cried a little with relief. I’ve also been deliberating private scans but I had a couple in 1st trimester already, and as you learn the reassurance can be short lived. Just trying to get on with life as best I can until the next scan/kicks - exercise and meditation are helping. X
