Exhaustion and palpitations

Hi all, I'm 26+0 wks and I've been struggling with exhaustion and palpitations for about a fortnight.

My smart watch keeps kicking off saying abnormal heart rate (over 110 when I'm 65 resting). I'm sleeping all the time but not well, waking up every 2 hours.

I find even walking up a flight of stairs, my heart rate leaps up, my chest starts thumping and I can't get my breath.

I've spoken to GP and am seeing her in person tomorrow, she mentioned anemia can do this.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts/tips.

I would also ask to have your Iron, Magnesium, Electrolyte, B12, Ferritin and Thyroid levels done as well as an ECG.

Dont let them just wave you off saying all women get exhausted while pregnant, you do need a proper evaluation. Are you eating properly?

Yep, sounds like anaemia. Hope you feel better soon.

I had this, anaemic & dehydrated. Needed some drips.

Hi OP I was coming on to say low iron when I saw your thread title !

Just wanted to reassure you that I have low iron and when it dips very low I get palpitations, brain fog and exhaustion- it’s amazing how lack of such a simple mineral can affect your body, luckily it’s a really easy fix !

iron supplements (stick to GP recommend dose) and lots of dark green leafy veg and protein will sort it.

good luck !

Ah amazing, thank you all. Fingers crossed it can all be resolved quickly with supplements!

By way of update, GP says can't detect anything wrong with heart but putting me on iron and awaiting full blood test results
