Low Lying Placenta - UK Trips/All Inclusive

Hey,

I am 22 weeks pregnant. Due to go on holiday to Spain for a relaxing all inclusive holiday in a week and a half. Flight 2 hours from London and the hotel chain is a very good one.

I have a low lying placenta which we were advised of 2 weeks ago. 8mm away from cervix.

Whilst pregnancy has been very straight forward so far we got admitted to hospital over the weekend for some light spotting. Doctors gave us the all clear and discharged us after monitoring (baby ok and no evidence of bleeding following internal inspection).

They could not find a reason for the spotting but it may have been a cyst that had burst a day prior. I felt like the spotting had come from ‘up there’ rather than the cyst but we will never know!

We don’t know what to do about our holiday - drs have given us the go ahead to go but not sure if it is too much of a risk. We are considering an alternative UK break but we think that may be more physically demanding then lying by a pool whilst someone brings us drinks!

I am in so much need of a break from work and some relaxation - it has been a very stressful pregnancy after 2 MC and 1 and 1 Ectopic to get here!

Any suggestions on whether we just go to Spain or any other relaxing holidays to do in the UK?

Many thanks!

It's a tough one!

I'm quite risk-averse so I probably wouldn't want to be abroad and get saddled with medical costs if something happened.

I’m the same as the pp, I’m risk adverse too and wouldn’t want to take the chance of anything happening abroad.
I had a low lying placenta. It still hadn’t moved by 28weeks so I had to take it very easy, not lift anything and be careful with moving around and bending.
