Who else is waiting to go into labour

Im 40+2 weeks pregnant now had a sweep 2 days ago been contracting ever since every 10min they last around a minute and been having bloody shows nearly every toilet visit.
I am soooo doneeee and its just not progressing :( anyone else wanna rant and wait for our babies to make an appearance.
Also this is my 3rd baby boy♡

@Babydancing2020 Hey hun, so sorry I have gotten terrible at replying. I have been feeling awful. I think I have a bug. I was up most of last night in so much pain with my tummy and constantly clearing out.. together with feeling so, so sick. I have been feeling unwell most of the day too. I really don't want to feel like this whilst in labour.
My sweep on my due date seemed uneventful.. still 1cm and hard cervix.
I am officially 2 days late as it's past midnight now.
My pelvic pain is horrendous.. oh what a moaner I sound 😂😂 I swear I have never felt this broken though lol.
Please tell me your little boy has made an appearance? How are you feeling?
I have another sweep today at 12pm.. we will see if that kicks anything off, that will be my 3rd🤣🤣 x

Hey hun! Missed you here I was actually thinking and hoping that your little one already made an appearance.
Get well soon! I have read online that a big clear out and feeling sick is one of the signs that your body is getting ready for the big day so hopefully really soon!!!fingers crossed

Ugh i am so over it honestly i dont even have the energy to moan i am so frustrated with myself and im dying of boredome. Little one still cooking. Im officially 41 weeks have my 2nd sweep on saturday so will see.
Im contracting now as we speak but its been on an off for weeks now nothing consistent.

I can't imagine how you're feeling hun, look how much I'm moaning and I'm 2 days overdue.. your a week now. It's so infuriating isn't it. I'm so frustrated and being snappy with everyone. Just feels like I'm stuck like this! Lol.
Are you getting anymore signs? Or has little one finally arrived today?
I went to my 3rd sweep today.. still 1 and half cm. She said my waters are bulging and that they would be able to break them easily if I chose induction.
I asked the midwife to put a referral through today with the hospital to induce me Monday, she said they would call me today, but they haven't.. so it seems the induction will be Tuesday.
Really hoping she comes on her own before then, but I just thought I can't carry on feeling like this. I can't seem to get any sleep at night as so uncomfortable and it's making me feel really unwell, with the sickness, swelling and tummy aches. And feeling like I'm carrying a boulder around😂😂.
The sweep seemed like it was going to do something, felt quite a bit of pressure afterwards, contracting and period aches.. seems to have tapered off again now though😐😐
She just doesn't want to come out.

@lilacgirl199 ohhh tell me about it im so snappy as well I went out today to buy some last bits for my eldest going back to school and the amount of comments and "oh ur still pregnant?!" I got ,was crazy Infuriating.
That sounds promising i really hope your little one will make an appearance tonight or tomorrow morning since you had the sweep.
Still no baby here they wanted to induce me as well but i'm so anxious about inductions for some reason.
I got my midwife appointment tomorrow so will see how that will go probably another sweep
How do you feel about induction?

@Babydancing2020 oh how did you manage getting around to get the school uniform! I'm in pain just thinking about doing that lol..
I really hope your sweep tomorrow gets things kick started for you and you have some progress.
Oh I am absolutely terrified of being induced lol.. I heard it can be more painful and longer, but I'm just so fed up. I think, I'm hoping a miracle will happen over the weekend and she will come on her own and I won't have to be induced. I just need to see an end in sight now. I have so much anxiety over giving birth in general that I don't want to think about it any longer and just be in the middle of it if you know what I mean, or preferably it all be over and done with haha.
The midwife offered me a sweep to have on Sunday, just one more try before the induction.. so we'll see.
I'm hoping I will wake up in labour tonight really😂😂

@lilacgirl199 to be honest I dont even know myself how I managed to do that ,i even rage cleaned my house just now. I guess im just so desperate and frustrated that I just try and keep pushing through the pain for these on and off contractions to progress lol.

Labour is very scary but the thing about labour is it is only scary because we are waiting for it to happen and we cant see the unknown. as soon as you are actually in labour its so amazing how your body just knows what to do and you will feel more in control.
Im not gonna sugar coat it obviously it is painful but its managable if you keep in mind the fact that every contraction takes you closer to meeting ur bubba and the pain is only for a little while. As soon as ur princess is born literally even the pain is gone.

Im not scared to go into labour im just scared of the induction process since I'd love an unmedicated birth i know that they do say that inducing labour can be more painful so i guess im just dreading it. Maybe the fear of that is stopping my body from going into labour as well since stress can be a factor.

Still waiting here too at 41+2 weeks. I had a sweep on Tues which didn't work :( I was 1cm dilated. I've since lost my mucus plug but I'm not sure if that's a real sign or just the sweep which dislodged it. No contractions to speak of yet.

I really didn't think I would go this far over. My DD starts school on Monday so really wanted baby to arrive before then! Sods law she'll come on Monday. But I'm booked in for an outpatient induction on Tuesday which is looming ever closer. Praying I go into labour naturally before then. Every night I think this will be the night but then wake up disappointed!

@Babydancing2020 get your oxytocin flowing 🥰 anyway you can think of ... dance party, sex (or alone time 🤣) cuddles with your other children etc etc apparently oxytocin drives the contractions, and adrenalin/stress etc stops them. Embrace it all, and know you'll meet baby soon :)

(I'm pregnant with number 3, totally get that in some ways it's more scary cos you know what's coming 🤣 hopefully I can heed my own advise when it's my turn in a few weeks) x

@Loulou1712 omg the only thing thats flowing right now is absolute rage.
Im at my appointment now and the midwife that is going to help me today is absolutely horrendous. I was 10min late because of traffick(marathon going on here) and then i had to wait several minutes at the reception for someone to let me in because the person in front of me was booking an appointment. So i get in and first thing she says is you are late im not happy to see you right now cuz there is someone else coming. Im like wow you are a midwife you of all people should understand how to start a conversation with an overdue fed up overexhausted mum of 2 that breathes like a hyena just walking up the stairs.
The attitude was absolutely horrendous i was literally doing my piss sample and crying in the toilet.
Anyways i said im happy to wait for the other person to come in first.
Not feeling this appointment at all today:'(

@Loulou1712 and my partner isnt giving me no sex at all he will piss his pants just by the thought of it,he is quite a pussy thinking he'll break my waters or something xD.
Wish i could help myself out but unfortunately cant reach down there LOL so then theres the kids left which i think will only cause me high blood pressure wuahahahaha.

No changes to my cervix unfortunately baby is still vibing inside rent free got my 2nd sweep which was bloody painfull and they scheduled me in for an induction on wednesdayyy

Sooo my waters went at 10:15 this morning.. a trickle.. then a gush. They have been gushing ever since. I'm having contractions, but seem few and far between.. constant period ache though. Obviously it's just a waiting game for them to get closer together and more intense. Anyone know how long I'm looking at? Lol
It seems that 3rd sweep did the trick.. I just hope this progresses on it's own and very quickly.
What an awful midwife. I'm sorry you have had to put up with that shit today.. hopefully it was worth it and that sweep did something for you.

Sorry to hear of the nasty midwife @Babydancing2020! I always think people working in this field should have the patience of a saint with what they'll be seeing and dealing with daily.

I'm sure you have tried everything on the planet but I could have sworn having saffron infused warm milk and honey helped set me off. They use it Iran and other places. I had like a tablespoon of it in warm milk and honey to try and mask the taste. Gah! It was sickly but I followed that by a long walk and my waters broke the following morning.

@lilacgirl199 congratulations. I feel the more active you'll stay the more they'll come on. My waters went 8am and I delivered 6am the next day, so it could be anything really. My biggest regret is thinking it would be 8/9 hours as it was progressing so fast till my baby went back to back and it all just became so long winded.

My little girl only arrived early hours 5th September!! I will explain what happened in another post.. but still in hospital at the minute and so, so tired! Baby girl is beautiful and healthy though

Day 4 of being induced and still waiting. I've had the pessary and then the tablet, and have managed to dilate enough to have my waters broken - but that was two days ago and I'm still waiting for a space on the labour ward.

I know I'm lucky because there's no risk to my baby, and everything is okay, but I'm finding waiting so mentally challenging. Being on the ward is horrible - incredibly boring during the day, difficult to sleep at night. Ahh when will baby come!?!?

@beckybloomwood11 awww didnt wanna read and run! I know exactly how mentally draining it can be,feeling like your almost there but not really in some way. Your baby will be there before you know it and this will pass. You are gonna be great i wish u a safe and healthy delivery!
