Advice on vitamins and pregnancy?

It's my first pregnancy and it's a little complicated but we'd moved house in March and I hadn't registered with a new doctor, so I had to do that before I could get referred for a midwife appointment, then when I got through to the midwife department, they've got a waiting list as they are very overstretched so I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I haven't been able to get any advice on vitamins or anything.

I read it was important to take folic acid online so I'm taking pregnancy gummies, which have the right amount of it in but there are a bunch of other vitamins in it too and I'm not sure what I should or shouldn't be taking.

I'm going to try and chase up the midwife appointment Tuesday. They said it's down the midwife designated for my area but I didn't know if I could request to travel to a different area, if they've got any appointments? but as I say, it's my first pregnancy and I'm just panicking about it, so if anyone could offer any advice on the vitamins I'm taking or any other tips or advice, I'd really appreciate it, thank you.

The vitamins I'm taking contain:
10 micrograms vitamin D
70 micrograms vitamin K
60 milligrams vitamin C
2.2 milligrams Thiamin (B1)
2 milligrams Riboflavin (B2)
2.8 milligrams vitamin B6
400 micrograms folic acid
6 micrograms Vitamin B12
7 milligrams Iron

Thank you

All you actually have to take is folic acid and vitamin d, the others are extras. If you want something that is 'all inclusive' you can take pregnacare. I've just been taking folic and Vit d as pregnacare makes my sickness so much worse 🤮

Folic acid and vitamin D are the main ones but taking a pregnancy specific multivitamin should mean you get everything you need. The one to avoid is vitamin A (retinol). Hope that helps!

Also...Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Vitamin D and folic acid are the only vitamins you would get from the midwife, a pregnancy specific multivitamin will work fine. I've been on pregnacare and my midwife is happy with that

Oh there is something about if your bmi is over 30 you're recommended to take more folic acid so might be worth a Google if you're bigger

At 7 weeks you wouldn't have had a midwife appointment yet anyway so no need to worry about that 😊 like others have said, folic acid and vit d are key. My midwife didn't actually advise on vitamins beyond that.

I took folic acid. Made me sick though so ended up not having any.
