Hi all, having just experienced my 3rd miscarriage in a row, also including an ectopic years ago, has anyone had the same troubles and gone on to have a baby full term? I am lucky to have one girl aged 6 but ever since then my body just doesn't seem to work right and i can't help but blame myself.

OP try baby aspirin and progesterone pessaries from ovulation, it works wonders for so many who have had multiple early losses!

Lunasky14 · 25/08/2022 09:47

I think i can only get them through prescriptikn from a dr? I did try and discuss these when i found out i was pregnant but the dr wasn't really interest, said they couldn't help with anything yet as they i had only had 2 previous miscarriages and they didn't class my ectopic as a miscarriage even though it self resolved like one.

Sorry for your losses, OP.

I had five losses and then went on to have a healthy baby.

Now 20 weeks pregnant with my second baby.

Also in the same 3 miscarriage boat. I have a 3 year old too. I got as many blood tests as I could from the NHS and googled others to get and asked for those too (thyroid, lupus etc) then took them to a private gynaecologist (costly at £225 but i've been trying a while...) he looked through them all and gave me a scan too, all OK, he said he thinks its low progesterone and I need to go on it next time I'm pregnant. I'm also referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic through NHS but still waiting for an appointment. Good luck, hope you get somewhere x

I had a miscarriage before my first baby. I had my second baby not long after. Then had another 3 miscarriages in a row. I now have my third baby, she is 10 months old now. It's worth speaking to gp about a low dose of aspirin. I took this and i had no problems with my my youngest.

CFCFHT · 06/09/2022 16:14

@krj260888 did your GP prescribe baby aspirin? Or did you have to go to a gynaecologist or fertility specialist?

krj260888 · 06/09/2022 16:15

@CFCFHT I just purchased over the counter at a pharmacy after chatting with the gp about it. They didn't think it would help but I felt that it did. X

CFCFHT · 06/09/2022 16:24

Thanks for the reply @krj260888

I had 3 miscarriages and had investigations but no cause identified. I now have an enormous 13 year old (he was a healthy baby!)

Ifiwasabird · 06/09/2022 17:06

Yes. I was in a very similar boat to you - had DD no problems but then had 3 losses back to back including an ectopic. We then didn't get pregnant again for 18 months. We had testing with the recurrent miscarriage clinic which didn't show anything and booked tests pre IVF. While we waited for the results, I found out I was pregnant and I'm currently cuddling my 8 day old baby boy. I took cyclogest during the first 16 weeks but not aspirin. Wishing you luck OP. It's so hard when you're in it and I'm so grateful for the healthy boy in my arms.

Try NAC, some studies and lots of women say it improves conceiving and pregnancy outcomes

it’s a supplement, you don’t need prescription
